Just picked this book up and read about half of it so far. I'm not the biggest Motley Crue fan or Nikki Sixx fan but this book gives a very scary glimpse into the world of addiction. I highly recommend it. You can get it on Amazon for less than $20. He's donating 25% to charity, can't remember which one but it's one to help keep kids off the streets.
The artwork is also very good. It's a lot like the movie Sin City or 300. Kind of that Frank Miller look. Anyone with an addiction, past or present, or anyone with a loved one that has struggled should read this. Gives you an idea of what goes on in their heads. |

I downloaded the whole disc from Itunes...Great, great disc. Kind of like a rock opera of sorts. The spoken dialogue intertwined in the songs is very unique. |

I paged through it the otehr day when a coworker brought it in. Intersting style. It's written in the actual blurbs with comments added later. The thing weighs a ton from the glossy paper used throughout. Tough read from what I saw but good.
The more I listen to the album, the more brilliant I find it. A few tracks sound like he was listening to a lot of Danny Elfman sountracks and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, but it's cool. |
