lol. Great thread, BTW. I don't know how obscure it is, but I enjoyed Bank Job. Anyone see it? Tell me, is that Mick Jagger playing the bank clerk? |

Sounds very good... I love movies based on true events, especially when I don't know the story. I see it's released on DVD on July 15th. As for the kids movies...My 8 year old autistic son LOVES Mouse Hunt. Haven't been able to get my kids to watch, BABE. It was on during the DirecTV preview weekend last weekend and he wouldn't watch it. |

Just watched The Bucket List last night and I have to agree, it was a very good movie. Freeman and Nicholson were great together.
For any of the Anthony Hopkins fans, The World's Fastest Indian was pretty darn good. Thoroughly enjoyed it. |

The one thing I wished the writers would've put into the script was for Morgan Freeman's character to get a chance to go on Jeopardy as a contestant. Nicholson's character could've pulled some string...thought that would've been a poignant accent to the movie. Watch Freeman's character leave a pile of money to his wife and children. |

Ah, yeah. The Jeopardy thing would have been cool.
I loved the last line of the movie. Very cute. |

I really enjoy Kevin Spacey movies.
Not sure how obscure they are, but K-PAX and The Usual Suspects are great movies, I've watched both several times. Link To Movies Kevin Spacey was In |

I couldn't agree with you more on K-PAX...I absolutely loved that one. The Usual Suspects was a very solid effort as well. Spacey is long overdue to be in a big production successful film. He's been in some movies that aren't big box office draws lately. |

Awesome! Loved the music as well. Has anyone seen "In Bruges"? |

Thanks for the tip on In Bruges. Looks interesting--I added to my Netflix que.
If you like off-beat, Indy films, try: The Station Agent Rabbit Proof Fence Her Majesty St. Ralph Children of heaven (A GREAT Iranian movie if you can believe it) |

Maybe not too obscure but if you haven't seen Vantage Point, it's worth the rental. Saw it last night.

I liked the STATION AGENT, and RABBIT PROOF FENCE. I LOVED ST. RALPH. Haven't seen the other two but will add them to the list. I could see, THE STRAIGHT STORY and SPRING FORWARD on that list you posted. |

Thanks. Looked 'em up and booked 'em at Netflix. You're right, both look like nice stories. I really prefer littler Independents because they tend to be less formula driven and predictable than some of the crap Hollywwod puts out. By the way, watched "Barton Fink" with John Turturro and John Goodman--Wow! One freaky movie--if you like different, this definately is.. I didn't realize 'til the end it was a Coen Brothers film--that explained a lot. |

My son loves that movie. He's probably watched it at least a dozen times with his frat buddies. |

DONNIE DARKO was excellent. I saw VANTAGE POINT this evening...not bad but not as good as I'd hoped. The whole time I felt like I'd seen this movie a dozen times before. |

I hope you like them...they're both slow much like THE STATION AGENT and RABBIT PROOF FENCE and were similar in feel to me. I really liked SPRING FORWARD. |

Just watched Midnight Run. Good movie. DeNiro smoking on the airplane was weird.
