I'm always looking to watch a great movie that got little recognition...

One of my all time favorites was a John Turturro/Sam Rockwell movie called, "BOX OF MOONLIGHT"... had never heard of it but when it was over I was actually sad that it was over and wanted the story to keep going...

(If you consider the film, don't be turned off by the preview...the preview blew.)

Any suggestions...

I checked it out on IMDB.com...sounds good. I'll get that once I go back on Netflix, if they have it... I've been using the RedBox at Walmart over the last few months.

One of my favorites, excellent recommendation.

"Reservoir Dogs," "True Romance," Army of Darkness,"
Anything by Terry Gilliam. especially "12 Monkeys,"
Bill Murray in "The man who knew to little."
Not necessarily obscure, but "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels."

You can't go wrong with Elliott Gould and Christopher Plummer.....

Thanks, I'll add all of these that I haven't seen.

Just got done watching, "THE BUCKET LIST" minutes ago... Wow. Exactly an up my alley type of movie. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Nicholson and Freeman...what a dream team.

I'll add, "MY FIRST MISTER" to the list of must sees. The film had the worst opening 10 minutes, but I stuck with it and it paid off... Powerful film.

Also... "29TH STREET"... based on a true story... another fantastic film.

"INSTINCT" w/Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr. is in my collection and has a profound message.

Unfortunately, a lot of my favorite obscure movies aren't on DVD because they're too obscure. Wink

For a more recent lesser-known movie that is on DVD, try Where the Rivers Flow North.

This one is worth the effort to see simply because the second greatest movie character of all time (behind Booger, of course) plays a vital supporting role in this underrated film.

I give you Marv Gomez. The Leather Man.

Thank you...I've added all of them to my Netfix Queue which now sits with 359 movies to see.

Just saw two not obscure films this evening...JUMPER (I was pissed..thought it was about basketball) Smiler and THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL... I liked 'em both. I especially liked, THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL... the most twisted up movie I've seen since OLDBOY and TITUS.

I would highly recommend OLDBOY if you can stomach the dub from Korean to English. What a crazy film. Oldboy

I'm looking forward to seeing the Other Boleyn Girl but I really want to read the book before I see the movie. Books are usually much better and I don't want the movie to spoil it for me.

Before you read about those insignificant Boleyn girls, you need to experience true cultural history with the Great Marv Gomez, Ms. Pacman.

If you want a little-known comedy, try Terry-Thomas in Make Mine Mink.

Oh, well, of course. I feel as though I've missed out on something that might possibly change my life. I'll watch Thank God it's Friday and then I just might throw in some Booger movies after that. Wow, I'm in for a fantastic Friday night! Big Grin

My 8 year old was watching SCOOBY DOO last evening when Shaggy dropped this odd line when they were enroute to a haunted castle and Thelma quipped you have nothing to fear from being in that castle... "That's what Henry the VIII thought about Ann Boleyn" or something of that nature. I didn't realize a cartoon dedicated to smoking marijuana could be educational.

No... I don't like poking fun at the Northerner's since I'll always be one at heart. I might be going back up to Minnesota/Wisconsin in a few months... just in time for winter. Frowner

I saw this film...it was okay.

SJ...I love the word "bogart"...it's classic.

These movies aren't exactly obscure but since they were geared more towards children perhaps some of the adults may have missed them. I think they're really good and entertaining for any age.
