Anyone hitting up a Dave Matthews Concert this summer? You may have caught on TV the free concert for Barack Obama at IU...where I happen to go...so that makes one for me this year. I am also going to both nights in Nobelsville, IN.

Carter Beuford's an amazing drummer, but I have to admit I've just grown tired of DMB and I'm not sure why.

Dave Matthews is the nephew of my high school principal, pretty cool when you consider I went to high school in Botswana.

that thread was not only painful to read, but pathetic as well...I can't even imagine "dismissing" that much great music (Chili Peppers, DMB, Bob Dylan, Neil Yong, etc.). There is some stuff out there that I don't listen to very much but all music has merit...

all apologizes.

if only all people could follow your lead and have a sense of humor and open mind, the world would surely be a better place.

I like DMB but I can only listen to them every once in a while. The dude sure does make singing look hard though.

I really didn't think he was a good singer until i listened to him for awhile...the way he sings with passion on songs like Grey Street and Ants Marching is phenomenal. I only listen to live versions of his songs because he is much better on stage than in a studio.

People tell me this about Springstein too. "Aw, you have to see him live!" I appreciate talented musicians and I have always believed that the voice is the most difficult instrument to master.
