Anyone hitting up any summer concerts? I'm looking at going to both nights of Dave Matthews Band in Nobelsville, Panic at the Disco w/ The Hush Sound, and Maroon 5 and Counting Crows with Augustana. I'm also kicking around making the trip to Bonaroo...but im not sure if i can afford that one...

That looks fun, Henry. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll get to see it in New Mexico!
No Tropical Heat Waves in this area. It's a dry heat. |

Just came home from Springsteen. His first concert since his keyboardist died last week. First time I've seen him. About the sixth time Buffy has seen him. He still puts on a heck of a show. Sang some songs tonight that, according to Buffy, he doesn't generally do including "Rosalita", "Because the night" and "Backstreets". Of note also, we wonder if Clarence Clemons is sick. He looks like he's lost weight. He moved around very slow. And they had a chair placed near him so he could sit down, which he did often.
For those interested, here's the Tampa setlist per another site. Setlist: 1. Backstreets (Band on stage without organist Charlie Giordano) 2. Radio Nowhere (Charlie joins the band) 3. Lonesome Day 4. No Surrender 5. Gypsy Biker 6. Sandy (4th of July) (full band) (Roy Bittan played the accordion and at the end Bruce kissed Roy. Internet reports say Bruce was cryring). 7. Growing Up 8. Atlantic City 9. Because The Night 10. Darkness On The Edge Of Town 11. She's The One 12. Livin' In The Future 13. The Promised Land 14. Waiting On A Sunny Day 15. Brilliant Disguise 16. Racin' In The Streets 17. The Rising 18. Last To Die 19. Long Walk Home 20. Badlands 21. Out In The Street Encores: 22. I'll Fly Away ~ For Danny (Garry on stand up bass, Max on tambourine, Roy on accordion) "I'll Fly Away," written by Albert E. Brumley in 1929, is a hymn most associated with American Baptists and the Church of Christ. It is an optimistic song about an earthly death that leads to everlasting life in glory with Christ. 23. Rosalita 24. Born To Run 25. Tenth Avenue Freeze-out 26. American Land |

No "girls in their summer clothes"? One of my favorite Springsteen songs. |

Was all set to see Type O Negative on the 11th, and they postponed it until July, and of course I'll be doing military stuff away from home then. SUCKS.
Wonder what the reason was? |

Just purchased Tom Petty tickets for July 8th at Riverbend Amphitheater near Cincinnati. Steve Winwood is warming up for him.
I have seen Petty 4 times and he does put on a pretty good show. |
