People seem to be widely more opinionated about music than anything else. My guess is because there's pretty much no objective standard when it comes to art, in general.

I can't see the picture because I'm at work, but from the title I'm guessing that's the new Opeth album, right?

I have Ghost Reveries, but I shelved it after a couple of spins. Great musicianship, but I just can't get into the vocals. Are they similar on the new album?

Personally, I'm more into power metal than progressive - Kamelot, Stratovarius, Avantasia - but I also like Symphony X, Evergrey and Dream Theater. What else is good out there?
