Ahman was a terrific Packer and I pissed and moaned about not re-signing him.....but this non-move is looking pretty good.

Ahman 51 - 193 3.8 1TD 8 receptions 38 yards 4.8 avg

DeShawn 49 - 202 4.1 4TD 9 Receptions 81 yards 8.1 avg

I loved AG, but I knew it was time to part ways. I'm happy he got the money, a place to start, and I hope he is happy.

I'm just glad TT didn't feel the need to invest heavily in a guy with a ton of mileage.

More than a couple people around here saw what was coming with Ahman. He was running down and getting hurt more and more. Others saw something different or were in denial.

I agree though - he was the most exciting/electrifying Packer RB I've ever seen.

I'm pretty sure most of Wynn's yards are the result of 2 long runs.

I am pretty sure most of Ahmans yards are the result of many short runs

I'm pretty sure that every RB has at least one big run each game that helps their per carry average.

Also, I'm pretty sure I forgot this sarcasm in my original post. And, I'm also pretty sure I didn't need to inlcude it.

I knew Green was on the downside of his career, but I still wish the Packers had found a way to keep him. Green's numbers have been diminished because of injury, but Wynn has not exactly been the picture of health (none of the RBs have been). The fact remains that the Packers have the worst rushing offense in the league, and McCarthy has his work cut out to try to improve that.

I also didn't "inlcude" one of those because I'm pretty sure that a lot of backs have at least a couple long runs that when averaged in with 2 yard runs make the actual average slightly higher although it may be that it just looks bigger in the mirror.

I'm partial to Pecan pie this time of year. In warmer times a nice Key Lime or lemon merange (sp?) pie is great. Dont care much for pumpkin pie anymore. Pecan pie rules in any form. eat

Apple pie with a chunk of cheddar on it is always good, especially if warmed up. licklips

As for Ahman, he moved on and so did I. Wish him well with his $, but we have bigger fish to fry.

Pumpkin is the best. No contest. It's so good.

Chocolate is 2nd best. Get chocolate pudding, put it in a pie crust and let it sit for a couple hours.....it's good. I mean really good.

Apple is 3rd best with Vanilla Ice cream.

That dumbass Thompson could have paid $20 million dollars for the same production he's getting for $500,000. Jesus, when will the Packer board realize what a mistake his hiring was? Big Grin

Green had 6 td's all of last year; Wynn has 4 already. I think the Pack is doing OK on this one.
