Nope. But he had someone starting in front of him that's pretty durable I hear (and saw every game).

Did we go to the Superbowl last year? I'm just asking.

Not many is the answer.

True enough, but it has been done before.

Maybe he's the one but I doubt it.

That's fine, but my question is what are you basing that on?

Ask the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins how they have fared since Elway and Marino left. It's very tough to replace a legend.

I don't have to ask them, I saw it myself. We're not either of those teams, and we have young QB ready to step in. Neither of thoes teams did.

Fans (no offense) sharing views similar to yours also don't make it any easier on the guys that get that opportunity.

If he has one horrible game the pressure is going to mount. I'm just not optimistic and I just don't understand why Favre is not the QB right now.

As if it wouldn't have (or hasn't already)?

It's your right not to be optimistic (and I'm less so for differing reasons), but if you truly don't understand why he's not the QB right now then you haven't been listening to what MM and TT have been saying for quite some time now.

Favre retired. If he wants someone to blame for why he's not the starting QB, then I'd say the guy in the mirror is a good candidate.

I guess he's already decided that he's only answering to Chocolate Thunder. Give that a try.

No we didn't go to the SB last year but we were right there. OT in the NFC Championship Game is very close. Brett has played on two SB teams. How many has Rodgers played on? My whole point is not to bash Rodgers, believe me, I'm pulling for the guy. Favre wants to play, to say no to that is not a very bright move by TT. If he plays this year and then does the whole retirement thing again, so be it. I don't think it's that big of a deal. It just seems to me that TT and MM wanted him out. I am still trying to figure that out.

Why in the world are the Bucs interested in Favre? We are going to go from a 38 year old QB to a 39 year old QB???

doh

Hey Gru-Allen, memo here... exactly which "receivers" are going to catch the balls Favre's lofts up there off his back foot in the playoffs?

If the Bucs give up more than Chris Simms and a sixth rounder, we are stupid.

Not to mention, team chemistry would go down the tubes as many Bucs players have already publicly supported Garcia who was voted MVP of the team. This is a bad situation all the way around. Thanks a lot Brett for being such a diva.

It's not rocket science. I'm sure essentially calling them liars didn't help a whole lot, though.

All I can say is that you should consider reading up on it...I'm not going to present another (even condensed) overview here, and even if I did I honestly don't believe it would change your mind.

I don't know. Maybe you could change my mind. I just think the whole thing is weird. As soon as word got out that Favre wanted to play again, the Packers have gone into a defensive PR mode. TT is a great GM but he needs some work in PR. I think that's why Fleischer is there now. The Packers have not done anything to welcome Favre back. It just surprised me a little. I think there is alot of things that have gone on that nobody knows about. Hopefully the whole truth will come out someday.

Those who can...do, those who can't teach.

Makes sense, an illogical person trying to teach logic.

Seriously i-con change the freaken record, kick the juke box, or just unplug your computer.

One would think that a person who attempts to teach would have the ability to learn...your track record is not to good there...

Starting way back with Brown vs the Board of Ed, but more recently and more Packer related...Nall, Fergie, and now this...

It's pretty simple actually. TT and MM came to the conclusion they would NEVER be able to win a SB with Favre under center. Can you now understand why THEY don't want him. You think otherwise, a lot of people think otherwise. So what it's not your decision to make and the people who made this decision will now have to prove they made the right decision.

I'm old enough to be your daddy and just might be. The best living QBs are in Indy and Foxborough.
Ted and Mike are trying to win a SB. You're sitting at a desk whinning. Need anymore info?
