With Favre throwing 3 TDs today he has tied Marino with throwing 3+ TDs in 62 games.
Are there any more records by Marino that Favre is closing in on? |

If he does anymore horrible ad campaigns like the crappy Wrangler one they're beating us over the head with now, Favre may catch Marino for painful commercials.

I think the record of note is most games with 4 or more TDs:
Marino: 21 Favre: 19 |

Favre could have had his 20th today if the Pack hadn't have obviously held back in getting the running game some "game time" practice as well as trying to run out the clock ... but I hear ya. |

I think that commercial is very "folksy" and perfect Favre.... My non-Packer fan friends even like it. There's some football, dogs, classic rock... what's not to like?? |

The mere presence of BTO automatically makes any medium in which it's involved horrible, IMHO. There's more I don't like, especially the fact that it appears on TV about 8 billion times/day, but really, BTO in and of itself is where the discussion should stop. |

Well, I still remember the Packers and all Packer players having NO national exposure not that long ago. I like that one of "ours" is on TV. I like the Wrangler commercial, I think it fits Brett perfectly. If there's a little over-exposure I think it's OK - just making up for the past. And while BTO certainly isn't near the top of my iPod playlist, the fact that they are the background music for the song doesn't make me hate it.

Brett is from Mississippi, home of America's music, the blues. The music for the commericial should have been a Howlin' Wolf or Muddy Waters tune.

Agreed.. I like the commercial despite the music from the worst era of music ever - the 70's. At least Brett doesn't take seemingly every offer thrown at him like Peyton Manning. I am sick and tired of seeing his mug on TV. Conversely, Brett only takes commercial offers he feels fit him. The lawn mower ads last year are a perfect example of that. |

Back on-topic,then.
I hardly see this ad at all - Of course, I am living in the ninth circle of NFL Hell (MN), but when I have seen it, I thought it was well done, aimed at a specific demographic, and IT HAS CLOSE-UPS OF HIS BUTT FOR GOD'S SAKE WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THIS AD I DON'T EVEN HEAR THE FREAKIN' MUSIC OMG IT'S HIS BUTT......! {ahem} In all, I find it a very inoffensive piece of advertising. |
