Good article on this today:
http://www.packers.com/news/stories/2008/06/05/2/ So who do you guys think will win the position? Tramon W. has the edge most likely due to having experience in that role last year. I'd also favor Blackmon IF the dude can ever stay healthy. Others that intrigue me are DeShawn Wynn and Jordy Nelson. |

Yeah, I agree with you that Tramon is probably in the lead and it's really gonna be fun to see how Jordy does back there with him. On paper it looks like a pretty good tandem.
As far as punt returns go, I guess I'd like to see Tramon, Jordy and Blackmon battle it out through training camp and hopefully one of them proves to be the guy. |

Unless one of the rookies blows the coaches' socks off, I expect it will be Tramon again. He did a good job last year. I'd really like for Wynn to step up and win the job. He won't make many people miss, but he plows over that first guy like Najeh used to.
Blackmon is an excellent PR, but can he stay healthy enough? |

I wish they'd just let Blackmon concentrate on CB.
I dont think we need to risk further injury with him on returns, and he needs to concentrate exclusively on CB to maximize his abilities there. IMHO We have other guys as mentioned fully capable of successfully handling returns. |

I wish I could give Blackmon my feet since his seem to be made out of Waterford Crystal |

That's a really good point, Doug. Let him get through a season as a CB. I sure hope he can get and stay healthy this season. |

Nelson had 3 punt return TDs on six attempts in college. I'd be surprised if he doesn't land at least one of the return jobs. High pick or no, I don't think they only drafted him to play receiver.

I'd give Nelson the shot first, then Tramon. Blackmon's been too fragile. Give Swain a looksee too.
Anyone hear anything about Bush being moved to safety? |

I like Tramon on KR. He almost took it to the house in the Divisional game last year, made quite a few people miss but couldn't go the distance because of how snowy it was, etc. PR there are a few options but I wouldn't mind seeing what Jordy can do. Blackmon would be a great PR if he could only stay healthy which so far he hasn't shown he can do. Either way it looks like they have plenty of solid options to choose from

I agree, but just to play devil's advocate, Javon Walker hurt his knee for the first time in a pre-season game returning a kick-off. I still remember the awkward tackle that caused it. |
