I was just catching up on the Sportsline episodes on my ipod and Havel and Johnny Gray were debating the Vegas OVER/UNDER line of 9.5 wins for this season. I am firmly on the OVER side.
The offense is more stocked with weapons than perhaps I've ever seen. The guards are improved. Brandon Jackson is improved. I think the defense is going to be better to, with the addition of Chillar and another year of development. |

Under.
You have a QB, who i believe is good.. but has never played in 2 consecutive games in his career for any extended playing time. Heart wants over... Head says under. Probably 7 wins. |

That line seems about perfect. 9 wins or 10? A tough call for the avid gambler. I keep thinking 11 wins but I thought we were going to really suck last year. |

I'm going to go with OVER.
I see 12 winnable games on our schedule, possibly 13. I could definitely see losses to the Jags, Cowboys, and Colts. I could see us splitting with the Vikes and end up 12-4. |

I see 16 "winnable" games. But I think we'll lose about 6-7 of them.

I'm going to say Under. The schedule on paper looks brutal this year. I'm going to remain skeptical on Rodgers until he actually puts a few starts together with some success. And if he does go down, we are not in real good shape having to rely on rookies at the QB position. The other position I'm a little concerned about is DT. Last year we were loaded at that spot, but traded away Williams and have 3 other guys who are very injury prone. We could be very vulnerable there if these guys haven't fully recovered from their injuries.
I see the Pack with somewhere between 8 and 11 wins if Rodgers is healthy for 14 games or more. I'm going with 9 wins which would put them under the mark. |

No matter who our QB is, at least 10 wins is reasonable. We have two RB's that are solid coming in, depth at TE, 5 receivers deep, and a defense who is going to be better no doubt.
If Sherman was coach, 5 wins would be more realistic. |

I will go just under at 9 wins.
BTW is the Johnny Gray you refer to the same Johnny Gray who was a DB for GB? |

Yeah, he does a radio show now with former Press Gazette reporter Chris Havel. It is archived on www.packernet.com along with the Morning Fanline. You can also apparently hear it live on www.thefan1075.com from 4p-6p central. Johnnie's on there two days a week with Havel, and Harry Sydney is on there Mondays and Tuesdays, iirc. Johnny Gray stayed in Green Bay when he retired and has since then worked with disabled kids as a teacher at Syble Hopp school in De Pere. Great guy. Used to come into my dad's recycling shop all the time. |

Hard to say until after the preseason games but I am guessing now that it will be 11-5. May revise this before the regular season starts.
