Not likely that Chester Marcol comes out of retirement, so I'm good.

I wish TT had traded him to the Vikings for a Kings ransom last year.

In any event, I don't hate Favre for wanting to play with any team.

To be honest, I don't think any other team in the NFL would want him. Maybe the Niners?

Sounds like the Vikings & Favre are a match made in heaven

I do too. They probably could have got a couple pretty good selections for his rights. I doubt TT ever figured that Favre would wind up in Minny.

Signing Farve is a high risk move for the Vikings GM and coaching staff. If he fails it their heads, Farve will look foolish but he will have another big pay day.
In my useless opinion I think Farve will be terrible. I watch a bunch of Jets games, hoping for 2nd round pick, and saw a many games were Farve was awful. There nothing that happen this off season to suggest that he will rejuvenate like he did 2two years ago, he is closing in on 40 and has not put in the work needed for the last two off seasons.

Maybe it is time to pick a favorite Packer of all time. He is playing against your team mostly out of spite. Gotta look at the full package. There is a long list of Packers that played great that didn't end up with a personal vendetta against the team, that made him.

I agree that this is a high stakes move for CKA, and could cost him his job, but he's willing to roll the dice. Sound judgment has never been a strength with him, and his chances of becoming the next Wayne Fontes seem slim right now...

I'll disagree .. it's a good move by Childress. He wasn't going to get anywhere but fired with his current qb's so why not go for a players that's seen it all and done it all. I think Favre is going to come up short for him like he did with the Packers and Jets lately, but theres no doubt he gives Childres a better chance of winning than those other clowns do.

Of course he gives them a good shot at winning. And its a hgue boob for ticket and merchandise sales. But getting to a super bowl takes alot of things to go right. The Packers didn't go to a super bowl after 97 even though he was still having good years.

Don't you find it unsettling that Rodgers had his career year and they only won 6 games, yet Favre was 'awful' and the Jets won 9

The only reason it was a career year because it was his first year STARTING! And Brohm's apparantly having a better training camp than last year yet he still blows. Go figure that one out.

He's a huge boob all right. You lobbed it underhand. It was dyslexic, however.

According to who? Didn't you also claim Rodgers would be hurt by Week 6 and Brohn would be the starter?

Your thoughts require more patchwork than your Nall blowup doll.

Nah .. you are comparing a 17 year all time type qb against a 1st year starter. Rodgers far exceeded my expectations, and he'll probably even improve on his numbers this year. Hopefully more wins will follow.

And in fact, that 1st-year quarterback ranked higher than the wily veteran in passing yards, touchdowns, and QB rating.

What's unsettling is that some people don't know when to pass the ball to victory, both on and off the field.

What I find unsettling is that anyone who proclaims to be a Packer fan bashes the top levels of the organization and the player who will lead them to playoff land for the next 10 years or so.

Even if the-icon really is a fan of the Packers (Something I doubt, he has the stench of a bitter Green Bay Favre fan), there were people out here in California who still didn't like Steve Young even after he won that Superbowl in '95 because he only won one and his name was never going to be Joe Montana.

I think the parallels to Montana/Young are particularly strong. Don't forget that until the Terrell Owens game, Young lost a fair amount of playoff games to Favre and the Packers, which we were assured Joe would have never let happen.

That's why I think a playoff game between the Vikes and Packers this year would be off the charts in drama...

No. Like you said, a lot of other things have to go right for the team to win. Like the defense holding a lead handed to them by AR with 2 minutes left for instance.

Extremely unsettling. We must find a way to force Aaron to throw more picks and fewer TD's.

I'll believe it when I see Favre walking onto the Vikings practice field in a #4 jersey! gopack
