This is set up perfectly.

Stubborn QB + CKA = hilarious hijinx.

Seriously, assuming the inevitable happens, have you ever wanted to beat the living tar out of two more deserving douchebags?

Favre’s return won’t come this week
June 22nd, 2009 – 6:12 AM by Judd Zulgad
This is no guarantee that there won’t be more Brett Favre-to-the-Vikings news this week. However, it’s a safe bet that Favre won’t be officially joining the Vikings for the next eight days.

That’s because coach Brad Childress is departing on a fishing trip to Alaska this morning and isn’t scheduled to return until next Monday. Childress will be joining his friend and Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid for some rest and relaxation. Childress, of course, served as the Eagles’ offensive coordinator under Reid before becoming the Vikings coach in 2006

I wish I knew what ports or rivers they are going to be fishing from so I could go there and harass them Big Grin I'll be in Valdez fishing on wednesday and will keep my eyes peeled for a walrus and a smurf looking to catch some kickass fishThumbs Up

Did anyone notice the Vikings second-half schedule?

A bye week and then three straight games at home.

(Has this ever happened?)

Followed by a December visit to frigid Arizona.

Then another dome game at home against Cincy.

Then a December visit to frigid Carolina.

An actual cold game in Chicago in late December.

Followed finally by a dome home game against the Giants.

Could the scheduler have been any kinder to the qb to be?

That's why we need to get home field advantage.

Could you imagine this?

NFCC Minnesota at Green Bay. Let's say the two teams split earlier this year. And then it's zero degrees on game day.

Media would be off the charts on this one, ratings through the roof.

Who,

It doesn't matter where the Vikes play come December. They are equal opportunity choke artists. Arizona is a "perfect" place for them to start.

It's also interesting that the one late cold game Favre will play in is in the stadium that he's pretty much owned since the beginning.

That schedule is just nuts. As if Favre himself wrote it up. "This would work best for me."

I really hope he comes back with the scrubs he's got at WR and TE. Berrian is nothing but a glorified fly pattern guy. Rice is not a polished receiver. The other guys stink. Shiancrap is a scrub that TJoke could only pass to.

I want to see Leadfoot block small fast guys because he couldn't in college and was owned vs Florida.

Their only respectable lineman left in Birk. I love it that Chilly is calling the shots in the players he wants. He is nothing more than a dolt and Ziggy thinks he's the cat's ass.

No way. Its just pure happenstance that the first vike game is against his former coach ( Mangini) and that ESPN got the MNF game vs GB. Pure luck that it happened and pure luck that its game number "4".

There is no way the League would ever skew a schedule to bump ratings particularly in these hard times.

No No No, the decision to allow ads on practice jerseys and to let teams be involved in lotteries is as far as the multi-billion dollar industry will go to secure more revenue. Seriously- these are people with scruples !

There is no way there is any collusion going on with the schedule.

Did I mention that the vikes need a new stadium ? Big Grin

The NFL would never do such a thing and neither would the networks, all they care about is the integrity of the lottery....er game. ROFL

From a PR standpoint is it possible for either side (Favre or the Queens) to have butchered this anymore than they already have?

Personally I like this karma. Let's not forget what happened the last time MN played a late season game in AZ. Thumbs Up

I know what you're getting at, but it was just this last season and they killed the Cards.

Come January, it doesn't matter where TOG plays. He'd throw season-ending picks in Honolulu.

Goodell and the Owners pimping out Favre to whoever needs the beeotch to get more money in the coffers ...
Makes perfect sense, makes TT look so small in the grand scheme of things. No wonder the NFL is turning their chin on tampering when its obvious the Queens violated the rule. No wonder the PAckers organization was re-buffed by Favre/Cook for the Public Relations position withthe Pack, why let the Packers have it when the whole NFL wants to bendover Favre!

Note: Would invite anyone here on X4 to start a thread continuing this thought on the factual events showing how Favre is being whored out by the NFL. Smiler

Although he has played better in domes as of late, over his career playing sissy football inside had been a house of horrors. I don't know why people think it's to his advantage all of a sudden.

He'll be practicing in that dome now. They're not going to be opposing fans, either, drowning out his counts. They'll be cheering him on.

He'll be in front of his new fans five out of the last eight games of the season, when it gets colder and colder.

Two of the other three games are in the warm southwest and southeast--in December.

He plays against the Bears, at Chicago, in ONE cold game. He has a extremely good record at Soldier Field. In fact, he is one of the winningest quarterbacks at Chicago, including some of their own former quarterbacks.

I have no idea why "people" think it's not a huge advantage.

If he's still upright in December, not playing in the weather should definitely help him (assuming his arm doesn't fall off or nothing else happens to him).

It'll just make the inevitable (possibly cold weather) playoff meltdown all that more enjoyable to watch.

Mark "ballwasher" Rosen said tonight on WCCO to expect to see Brent at training camp and that they are also looking to sign Marvin "that ain't my gun" Harrison. Supposedly the Favre deal is 2 years, $20 million.

Once again, TOG found a way to avoid doing the offseason work with the rest of his teammates. There's enough weak head coaches and/or desperate franchises for TOG to pull this sh*t for another few years if he so desires.

Will there be half and half Jet, Viking jerseys??

It's funny, all those Purple fans who hated Favre now are stuck with him. LOL
