Agreed that his ability to enunsiate makes his anaylis sound bad, but it appears as if he does his homework. Even though he was a Cowboy, I always liked him as a football player, but this is not his forte. Although I'd rather have to listen to him that Irvin.
Also, I thought he never should have got past the first week of Dancing with the somewhat stars. If he ran the football as stiff as he danced he would have been another Barty Smith. |

I, too, like Emmitt very much as a person. He is a class act. But as a broadcaster, he's downright painful to listen to. It's not that Smith isn't intelligent, it's that I think sometimes he has a problem articulating what he's trying to get across. He almost seems like he's trying to overcompensate.
He will never be the worst though. I still recall Eric Dickerson on Monday Night Football....the phrase "ya, I's ready" still rings in my ears! |
