But the group of tapes does not include video of the St. Louis Rams’ walk-through practice the day before the 2002 Super Bowl. The employee, Matt Walsh, had been linked to such a tape by news media speculation. |

This doesn't make sense to me. Here's my question: if Walsh doesn't have any new info or evidence, then what the heck was this all about? Why have we had to put up with two more months of Spygate speculation? Why the long, drawn out process of him being granted immunity from prosecution by the league or the Patriots?
This smells really funny to me. If nothing new comes out of this, it's because the league decided to squash it. |

Goodell can go to hell. He issued a statement stating that this is what we already knew when Billy Dueschbag admitted to taping since 2000? Sheesh, I thought Billy never admitted that...so why didn't Baddell issure a harsher penalty when Bellicheater didn't give a "full admission" to the media.
F the NFL... this is just like he NBA admitting a mistake in officiating and doing nothing about it. Everyone in America just wants accountability. If you do something wrong intentionally and you know it, the hammer should come down. |

I agree. Think the Patriots paid him off to not hand over that one tape? Or maybe this was all about buying time to alter any tapes that may have had anything about that on them. In any event, what would stop Walsh, or the Patriots from destroying the tape. Then deniability would be easy. I don't think the NFL is going to do anything about it. |

All I can deduct from this is that I can't see how all these lawyers would've been haggling for months about a release if Walsh had nothing new from the beginning. I read he had signed some sort of non-compete/confidentiality agreement with the Pats, but if he had nothing to add to this then he wouldn't be violating any terms by revealing the not-new details. A WAG would be Walsh saw that walk through being taped but doesn't have the tape, but even if that's somehow the case, it's a total non-starter. Weird end to a weird story.

Watching ESPN NFL tonight discussing spygate and signal stealing when the annoucer (former Viking Signal caller) mentioned how he had called a safety blitz and he looked out at the Packers QB, then Lynn Dickey, who smiled and winked at him and then threw a 63 yard touchdown to James Lofton.

You can replace those names with Darren Sharper, Brett Favre and Donald Driver and that comment still makes sense. My my my,how some things never change. |

This is disgusting. That damn Bill Belichick. The guy gets away with everything. Why he wasn't punished for his misdeeds on that grassy knoll that fine day in 1963, I will never know?

ESPN was going bonkers over this today. I recall many of the talking heads "poo-pooing" the whole idea about taping defensive calls. Now today they are all waving 'red flags' and declaring that taping was a violation and was cheating. BUT...we cannot take anything away from NE because execution is what it really takes to win.

Still watch ESPN? Why? Colin Cowherd(his I know he is a Favre hater) is good. Today he is criticizing his ESPN brethren for their views, BTW. The rest of ESPN is crap, except for the games. |

Speaking of the grassy knoll, Senator Arlen Specter from Pennsylvania, who was junior counsel to the Warren Commission that investigated Kennedy's assassination, is pushing for an independent probe into spygate. Representing a state where both of it's NFL teams lost to the Patriots in 20005 post season play--Steelers in the AFC Championship and Eagles in the Super Bowl--Specter has put Goodell on notice that if the NFL doesn't do something about these allegations of cheating Congress will. Specter wants spygate probe |
