I know this sounds stupid, but is he any relation to Santana Dotson? I find the fact that he played on the same team as Santana, had a jersey number one number higher than Santana, and had he same last name as Santana to be too much of a coincidence.

There is no relation between Santana Dotson and Earl Dotson that has ever been reported. I also don't think Adrian Peterson (Minnesota) and Adrian Peterson (Chicago) are related either despite having the same name and having their jersey numbers off by 1.

False start, #72 of the offense, five yard penalty, repeat first down.
