if I hear the phrase "controls their own destiny" one more time I am going to go POSTAL!!!!! First of all it is wayyyy overused. So and so does not control their own destiny they need help. So and so does control their own destiny, they win and they are in. Second, Destiny is the inevitable or necessary fate to which a particular person or thing is destined or a predetermined course of events considered as something beyond human power or control. That by definition would mean that they do not control it. They will win or lose based on their destiny. Third, Destiny is performing at On the Border tonight and wishing everyone a merry Christmas in her own special way.
Also I think that they should play that Ford Focus commercial a little more. Thanks I fell better now. My mother always had issues around the holidays and I guess that this is my way of dealing with it without directing it at anyone except maybe Rich Eisen. |

You were "destined" to feel better after saying all that.
BTW, I liked the "Duh" commercial myself. |

If my holiday travels take me west a certain Florida Panhandle town, aren't I in control of my destiny to the Destin destination?

I thought the Jills looked very nice in their Santa outfits in monsoon conditions in Buffalo yesterday.

I just put Desitin on my baby's chapped bottom. Not my preferred destination, but definitely my destiny.
Merry Christmas everyone |

CHEEZE, Since69, & iowacheese;
Thanks. Mother-to-be gave us a frame with a note in the glass area which stated around Austust 1st, we would get a picture of a new family member to put in there. That is how we found out. About the senior citzen forum - I may have kids giving me grand kids, all but one of my 5 kids will be married in a few years, and just a little gray in my hair, but I don't feel ready for the Geritol treatment yet. It is interesting - my kids think I am old. But at work & church I am not viewed as old. Nor do I feel old. I am fairly active in a couple organizations outside of work, I manage a small design group at work, and find time to post a little here. I don't mind being called Grandpa - after all, that is who I am. But I'm not sure I am a senior citzen yet. Check with me in 10 years. PS: I don't mind the diaper duty if called upon. Depending on the situation, I'd be the 3rd or 4th string diaper changer. That means I'm pretty much the powder bottle holder. |

Cheese, just be glad that there's not another Peyton Manning 'pep-talk' commercial talking about how you can (or cannot) control your own destiny!
