No Shockey, a hobbled Plaxico and the Giants secondary is banged up, so our fab five will be open most of the day. Ok, before I get too excited, I realize the Giant's D-line has played very well, and could get GB some problems, but the way the Packers stop the run, I think the Giants and Eli are in for a long long day.

Grant also has a little to prove against his former team. McCarthy said he would have run it 50 times against Seattle if he could have, I wonder if he will balance it out this weekend.

The Giants have a good running game, good pass rush, and Eli and their receivers are playing well. I'm pretty confident about the game, but I've also been talking the Giants up since midseason -- they're a pretty good team.

We're great. I think we're going to win, without question. I just don't think the Giants will be just happy to be here and that Eli will choke and all the other stuff we're going to hear this week. Nine straight road wins for the Giants. They'll come to play.

Gints playing as well as anyone right now. This will be a battle.

Their Secondary played real good tonight, and their DL is pretty special. I know they are road warriors, but I think that will catch up to them this week!

Should be a GOOD GAME!!!!

This sounds like 1961 all over again. The papers and websites will be full of comparisons of the 2 teams and seasons. Do some reading about it, it's great.

Actually a lot of them are planning Hawaiian vacations (pro-bowl) I bet the voters have a bunch of egg on thier face now.

Yeah, the Giants really have put it together. I expected them to collpase late in the season, and they turned the opposite way. Kudos to them, and in particular Manning for the strong finish. They are playing well- but the Packers have strengths at every one of their weaknesses. The only advantage they have is their DL is playing excellent, and it should be a great matchup to see how the improved Packer OL fares against them.

Agreed.

Really, there's no D left in the playoffs that can stop this offense - even the mighty Patriots. So I expect GB to put the points on the board. The Giants pass rush will be slowed a bit because of the weather, and Ryan Grant will just run through and around them. Barber had some stuff goin' today, as well...you can probably run on them a bit.

As for D, keep the hard-hitting attitude up. Dallas played real soft today, we have to wrap up and hit hard. Smith is steppin' up for them lately, and Toomer is a wiley vet, but if contained and tackled, neither is a serious, serious threat.

I just checked my memory banks and it doesn't seem simular at all except being the Pack vs Giants again I remember what I was thinking before that game. Manning has a strong finish only in terms of a Dilfer-esque performance. He threw 18 times yesterday, completing 11 for about 160 yds. Take away the Toomer 62yd TD, which Toomer was given due to poor tackling, and his stats were very Diler-esque...and it was a dry 60+ degrees and in Dallas in a dome sort of environment. Eli and the giants do not strike fear into me. The Giants had to beat the Yuks and Cows to get here, not really a tall order. The Cows were playing like a .500 team the last month of the season.

The Pastsd D could be the weakest remaining unit in the playoffs.

Yeah, the Giants decent performances have been in reasonable or better weather conditions. Their passing game will not do well in the cold against our secondary, especially if Bigby plays the way he did Saturday.

If our OL can hold that Giants rush down, Favre will pick apart that secondary, especially if the excellent rookie Ross can't play.

I agree with much of what has been said. The Giants DL is solid, and they've played very well as of late.

But, a good sign was Dallas' ability to run the ball this week. I expect the Packers will be able to do the same.

Meanwhile, these playoffs couldn't have set up any better for the Packers at this point. Clearly, the Giants are the best team Green Bay will face out of the NFC. However, if things happen like the Skins winning, all of a sudden, we're seeing NY one week earlier, one week healthier, etc.

However, we're seeing them come to Green Bay for a third straight road trip. The Packers had the earliest game of the weekend. They had the latest. They have several injuries coming away from an emotionally draining win.

I agree with Max...they're not going to be "just happy to be here" - but they are definately the more worn down team right now.

Meanwhile, I love our matchups. The last time the Giants saw this good of a set of CBs was.....when they played this set of CBs. Plax is gimpy. Shockey is gone. Toomer is old. Eli is still Eli. The Cowboys mailed this thing in after their win over Green Bay. So the Giants saw a shell of a team like they are going to see next Sunday.

Packers should win this about 31-13.
