I just became a father this past Monday. My son Christopher was born at 7:50AM on June 9th, weighing 7lbs 8oz. He and his mother are doing well. Can't resist posting some pics...    |

All the best to you and yours, Brian!! Now you'll have to get get a new "L" lens for all the closeups that the 70-200 can't handle! My first Father's Day was 26 years ago. The AE-1 and a 50 mm lens was all I thought I needed. Don't make the same mistake...! |

Thanks everyone.
Regarding camera gear for our stay in the hospital, I actually went pretty light...30D sans grip, only one lens (28mm f/1.8), high-def camcorder (HV20), and SD700IS as backup. I figured the 1D body and L-glass was too bulky and would draw too much attention. Don't worry though, I've got plenty of photography related items on my wishlist. Nobody else posting pics of their kids on Father's Day?  |
