Brohm appears to be one of those guys headed for the career backup path in the NFL. He doesn't seem to have a strong enough arm for most offenses and is lacking in the ability to make a play when things collapse. Colledge on the other hand appears to be on the path for a long career on the offensive line at any position except left tackle.

Well, early Mini Camp reports were mostly knocking him for 1.) holding onto the ball too long 2.) rushing his throws resulting in either INC's or INT's.
He seems to have that Randy Wright-deer-in-the-headlights syndrome. And if you recall the days of Randy "Fright", that's NEVER a good sign. |

Rodgers certainly didn't have total command of the offense in his second offseason, either. In fact, IIRC, it was around the 2007 preseason where it became somewhat evident that Rodgers may have what it would take to be the successor to Brett Favre.
I don't expect Brohm to ever push Rodgers for the starting QB position. However, I haven't written him off as a bust, either. From all accounts, his football smarts are in abundance. I think he'll put it all together after another season under his belt. With his physical tools, he may not be destined for NFL greatness, but I think he'll have a chance to put together a decent career. He has the luxury of not having to be rushed onto the field. |

How fortunate that Flynn having exceeded expectations, allows the Packers to be more patient with Brohm than they might otherwise be if they had to count on him as back-up.

FILUBrohmicon is screwed. Stick a fork in him and just move on. Do the names Turd Ferguson, Craig Nall and Abdul Hodge ring a bell? They should - all victims of the Black Widow. All showed promise until the blackest force on X4 managed to penetrate their defenses with steaming hot, molten man love, and all of them immediately went into the perma-crapper. Hell, even Brent Fervruh's shoulder imploded after too many months of smoldering love. Same thing here. Just cut him and move it along, and hopefully Mr. Black will attach himself to someone who's already worthless next time.

Collins can go pound sand.
'07 was his 3rd year int he league but his 2nd year under McCarthy's leadership. Hopefully the light goes on for Brohm this year, but as you said it doesn't [i]have[/] to. |

Has he "mated" with anything other than his Noll blowup doll though?

Hopefully he'll start to show something when the preseason games fire up. He was supposed to be nfl ready, but that hasn't panned out so far. I think it's fair to have some reservations given his lack of top athletic skills.

The-Icon is better than the SI Jinx.
Can we get him to pull for Tom Brady please? Maybe ol' "Tom Terrific" will break his leg again. |

As all the experts were saying last year, you just can't have the NFL without Tom Brady! |

Pretty sure Icon will decline the name change unless it's altered to "White Widow."

I'd like to see Colledge do it again before they hand him big money. He had a good season a year ago, but I don't think he'd be confused with a pro bowl type player yet. I guess that's the gamble you take ... sign him soon and maybe get a break if he continues to improve, or wait and potentially pay him crazy money if he becomes a true standout.

I was bagging on colledge, and with good reason, when he was a turnstile as a tackle. One good year as a guard hardly qualifies for the big payday, but TT knows more than me in most cases.
