Sounds like you need more fiber in your diet.

By tomorrow AM the Mississippi Media Mob(his wife, his Momma, his brother, his 3rd cousins & agent(for those who are unaware who they are) will "leak" 3-7 stories about the MM/BF meeting. BF is completely innocent and only in GB for the TEAM and the FANS. MM & TT got him in a secret room ,wouldn't let him leave, had Gov't agents flown in from Washington D.C. interrogate him,and was water boarded. Ari was hired to meet the sports press and advised that everthing was above board and that the meeting was cordial. Meanwhile MM has a presser and says we're all happy as a pig in sh*t to have Brett back & can't wait for the season to start. End of story.

Interesting listening to the press while waiting. They sound a lot like us.

Except rational.

And sober.

at 8:30 p.m.? No way those hacks are sober.

So am I. Give me another hour.

Of course it will be their version of what went on in the meeting and of course it will be spun to make McCarthy out to be the heavy.

Ari Fleisher is in the house.

Here's what PFT had to say. It sounds like Favre and the Packers are not a match made in heaven.

REPORT: FAVRE’S ACTUAL RETURN TO PACKERS “UNLIKELY”
Posted by Mike Florio on August 5, 2008, 6:33 a.m.
Though the Green Bay Packers proclaimed on Sunday that Brett Favre will return to the team for a 17th season, his 17th season might not even entail a single appearance in a yellow-and-green helmet.

In the wake of Monday night’s five-hour meeting, which followed Favre passing a physical and being returned to the active roster, FOX’s Jay Glazer reports that “it now seems less and less likely that Favre will be back on the playing field for the Packers.”

Favre, per Glazer, met both with head coach Mike McCarthy and G.M. Ted Thompson on Monday night. The meeting between Favre and Thompson began at roughly 11:00 p.m. local time. Thompson has been the focus of criticism by Favre over the past month, including a contention by Favre that he doesn’t trust Thompson.

Glazer says that the meetings included a Festivus-style airing of grievances. (It’s unclear who was tapped to perform the feats of strength.)

The two sides will meet again on Tuesday morning. The key detail that has emerged from Monday night’s meeting is that Favre doesn’t want his presence to destroy team chemistry. He supposedly wants what’s in the best interests of the team, and he said that his teammates don’t need the distraction arising from his presence.

(So why in the hell did he come back?)

Glazer also reports that the two sides agreed that there will be no “open competion” at quarterback, and that the starting job will belong to Aaron “7-for-20″ Rodgers.

Still, neither side has budged from their core positions. Favre wants to play elsewhere in the NFC North, and the Packers don’t want him in the division.

So how will this one end? We suggest arm wrestling, or maybe pistols at 20 paces.

I don't believe Jay Glazer. If BF came to GB to play Coach MM will have him on the field and by opening night starting. JG is going for the headlines. Unless he gets this from MM, MM, and TT I doubt anyone knows what the talk was about. They need to worry about the Green Bay Packers and not a schedule for the press.

I gotta agree with Johnny Boy on this one. If neither side is "budging" from their supposed stances, then why would BF and TT start their meeting at 11pm after a 4-hour meeting with McCarthy?

Both sides agree there will not be an open competition? I say bullspit to that.

It just doesn't add up.
