No, he didn't. That thing is beyond absurd. I think there might be a nasty underbelly of mission-statement people that love this stuff. Akin to C.H.U.D.s.

What coach McCarthy did do, and what most people never do, is kick freaking butt when it came time to DO something, not SAY something.

Talk is cheap. And kind of weird.

Doing is done.

Damn Coach Brak, I'm ready to go out and kick some butt this half! You should be our commencement speaker at the X4 graduation thingy.

I wanted our former D-coach (forgot his name alreaday) as coach, but once MM started I was willing to give a guy a chance (couple seasons).

I was concerned after reading the mission statement, but heck, TT's objective wasn't about hiring a Public Relations dude. If anyone deserves some heat for that, the PR departement should have reviewed that statement before publishing.

MM seems to do a great job of preparing his players and adjusting game plans to use our strengths vs the opponents weaknesses. I've had some issues with his 3rd and 4th and short calls, but thats about it.

I've said this before, but I'm tired of people attacking that mission statement. Granted, the typos were disturbing (and I tend to be overly picky about typos). But there's really nothing wrong with the statement. It's an honest statement of what he wanted to do, and what he has done so far.

- I don't and didn't think there was anything wrong with the statement either and BTW, in hindsight that mission statement had a lot of TT inter-twined in it... A lot of what he was saying TT had control of.

IMO, there is no doubt in my mind that Mission Statement was co-authored by TT ... except for the actual spell-checking software purchase when it was written. Smiler

It was brilliant, but I just wish he hadn't dictated it to the neighbour's 3rd grade kid.

That'd be neighbor's, unless neighbour is actually the name of your neighbor. Which if it was, should be in proper case. "Neighbour's"

I think the thought was definately there, but the sentences make little sense. It reads like a total mess.
