1) The run game....let's chose either zone block or pulling. Pick one and start running it in games. Pick a starting running back and give him the ball 20 times a game

2) Come up with some run plays that can convert third and short

3) Figure out how to change the scheme to cover a TE with our existing personel

4) Find a punt returner

We've stolen a couple of games in the first 6, and given one away. We need to move to the next level after the bye

Hey, as ugly as some of these games have been, we're beating good teams, something we never used to do. Back in 03 and 04, we'd just beat up on the cupcakes.

I think we have a starter in Wynn as Morency lacks toughness and vision. If MM can keep multiple runnings styles with more than three plays a piece in his arsenal then the running game should become more versatile with their versatile OL. I thought I saw Washington run a couple zsone blocking runs today and that seems to be a common theme with NFL teams - keep the running options open.

Agree with fixing the running game.

At this time I think Wynn should be the starter, but he is not the long term answer. Just like this past season, fans are going to be aching for a first round (hopefully 32nd pick) running back or a veteran.

Its funny how during training camp most people (myself included) thought Wynn would be a washout and get cut.

Agreed... I'd like to see us using Morency as the Julius Jones type back, and Deshawn Wynn as the Marion Barber III type.

It could safely be argued Wynn has been worth a couple of victories this year.

Thats for sure. He will go to the ground before taking anyone one. They could have run the ball a few more times this game. Instead, McCarthy chooses to throw deep on 2nd and 2.

Interesting that Favre, in his post game news conference when listing the mistakes of the first six games that need to be corrected, said one of them was "spiking the ball with time left on the clock?" Was he referring to the end of the 1st half last week?

I saw the Favre PC and I heard him say 'hiking' the ball with time left.

all our backs are slow.
I don't see any game breakers...slow to hit the right hole and slow in the open field.

I've got to give them credit that somebody in the coaching staff eventually figured out that Poppinga covering Cooley was a terrible mismatch and found a way to do something about it in the second half. Unfortunately, it appears that Poppinga versus any TE is a bad matchup for the Packers. I am not sure what they can do, since teams have recognized that Poppinga in pass coverage is by far the weakest link in the Packers defense and are schemeing to get him into unfavorable coverage matchups.

None of these running backs are very good. They are nice role players, but our featured back in 2008 isn't on the current roster.

The defense played very well in the second half, but the Skins wide receivers dropped a number of long passes. If the pass rush isn't getting to the quarterback, this pass defense is very vulnerable.

i think you'd be nuts to give any of those running backs 20 carries in a game because it would lead to an awful lot of punts and very little production.

face it, none of those guys are NFL quality backs and most likely never will be.

you might have seen today the difference between junk like that and a star like adrian peterson. our line is not that great either but when you have a guy that can run, it doesn't matter as much.

i'm shocked that they can continue to win like this, my guess is that it won't last but there is nobody else in the division in position to catch them.

their running game is not really something that is fixable with the players they have.
