Today's Packer game has been my first hi definition football watching experience, and man, I had no idea what I was missing!
My company gave me a 50" plasma hi-def TV for my 10 year anniversary gift. Nice. I just got the hi-def cable box and channels the other night, and was anxious to watch my first game in hi-def. Man was I blown away. No way I ever go back to regular lo-def tv again! Amazing that I was switching between a college game yesterday on the regular channel, and the same game on hi-def. On the regular channel you could not tell it was raining, but in hi-def it was easily seen. I think I'm gonna like this thing, except now I'll be watching games I'm not even really interested in! My Sundays will be shot all to heck now! |

The only thing better than the Pack in HD is being there in person!

Absolutely once you watch anything in HD it's hard to watch SD. Especially football. Incredible.

I bet hockey would be pretty good in HD, see more of the plays forming ... or porn I guess (now where the hell did my old avatar go ...).
But seriously, I've never seen football in HD but it must be pretty damn good ... just thinking about a few of those deep passes the past few weeks. |

The first thing I ever saw in HD a few years ago was hockey and it looked fantastic.
First thing I ever saw on my own HD set a few years ago was billiards. Couldn't stop watching. |

I know there are a several Baseball haters here, but take a look at that in HD w/5.1 sound. I can't wait to get my HD TIVO.

Yessirreee. It is incredible. Those field shots are simply stunning. You can see the wisps of thread on the Packers jerseys and the gleam off their helmets is just like being in the huddle. Skycam views are awesome as well.

as good as the sports action is on HD, I find myself on the Discovery and other similar HD channels watching Planet Earth or something like it. The detail is better than being there in person.....

Gorgeous! Too bad the sport is so damn boring, but colors pop off the screen. |
