anyone recall when the schedule is announced?
wonder if the NFL would consider letting us open the season at home. Our first game is sure going to be emotional without #4 back there. hopefully Brett will be there and honored in some form. |

Schedule usually comes out in April... before the draft.

Usually the first week in April although a couple of years ago it came out on March 31. We may get one or two national games but the number certainly will be less without #4.

Yeah, it should be interesting. We all know the Cowboys will be on national TV the league-allowed maximum 6 times, PLUS the Thanksgiving game. And that's with a team that did not go as deep into the playoffs as the Packers did, and with a QB that has won as many playoff games as Rodgers.
I think the Pack will get at least 4 national games; there are too many good match-ups, with or without Brett. Indy, Jacksonville, Dallas, Seattle and a few others. Green Bay is going to get high ratings again, although I imagine the most intense interest among fans in general will be early on. I read somewhere that NFL network has a tentative date for broadcasting a "schedule release" show. As I recall, it was April 3rd, but that's subject to change. |

I think Brett needs to stay away from the opener. It will just put more pressure on Rodgers and the rest of the team to see him standing on the sidelines.
The focus needs to be on the future of the team. I think management needs to be careful about dragging this on, turn the page quickly and move on. There will be plenty of time for tributes. |

I am of the belief that it would likely be better for Rodgers to open on the road, maybe even two straight, so there is not all that huge pressure to perform in front of the hometown fans.
I can just imagine the insults that could be hurled his way if he struggles initially. |

Any Packer fan that "hurls insults" at Rodgers if he struggles initially needs to go root for the Vikings, Bears or Cowboys. There's no room on this bandwagon for those types of so called "fans." |

I really think Rodgers will be given a fair shot. Fans realize that he didn't take Brett's job and that Brett left on his own. However, if he stinks it up for half the season, there could be some boos by November, but I don't expect that.

Our first game should be national on NBC so we can listen to John Madden's "tribute to Favre"!
