Four die hard Packer Backers traveling up from Gainesville Georgia for the Lions game amd would love to find a local tailgate to be a part of. Wife and I along with another couple will be in on Saturday. Be glad to contribute what ever is needed. Have been to the Brett Favre tailgate this year for the Carolina game but we are looking for something with a little bit more local flavor.
I hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas and that Santa is good to you!! |

www.PackerFanTours.com can set you up with a open-to-the-public tailgate.
If you want a personal tailgate, maybe gblinda will peek in and say come on by. She gets the Tooner stamp of approval. |

i'm in the same boat here...four of us coming up for the game and would be glad to pitch in a few bucks for a brat pre-game...can't really afford the 25 dollar tailgate through fan tours on our tight budget, we spent all our cash on tickets...thanks!

Thanks Tooner for the info;but the Packer Fan Tours tailgate is just like Favres tailgate. Way too many people and mostly out of towners. We are looking for something more local. Can you or anyone else suggest the best bar around the stadium to hang out at before or even after the game?

I can't say from personal experience, but some (including Tooner) have in the past recommended Kroll's... http://www.packersgameday.com/ |

Thanks #1 Fan for the info. It looks like we will be doing our own tailgate in the K-Mart parking lot. My two friends are visiting family this week in WI. and we are flying in on Saturday. So we can meet up that morning and tailgate before and after.

If you don't want to do the $25 tailgates another option is to make sandwiches and snacks and wander the parking lot around Lambeau. If you're a halfway sociable person you'll be able to join in with various groups without being freeloaders. It's been amazing how much beer and food I've been offered and I'm not exactly a life-of-the-party type.

Yeah, official no#1 fan, I was going to suggest Kroll's though I've only been past it on game day, haven't actually gone in. But they seem to have a pretty good "ala carte" menu going and right by the stadium. But I figured that there were probably a lot of other people around who were more familiar with whatever bars/restaurants around the stadium might be cool to go to than me.
If I'm down there on game day, I've got tickets, and I'm either tailgating myself, joining a friend's tailgate, or I'm on some kind of odd time schedule or something where I park on the street in the Tooner neighborhoods and go right into the game. So I really have no clue about "bars around the stadium" and where is good to go on game day. |
