First of all let me state that I think most of the Favre threads were excellent. Obviously Brett retiring was huge news & it was nice to see most everyone discuss it rationally.
Anyway, on to some new rules. 1) Comparison of Aaron Rodgers (or any future Packer QB) to Brett Favre will not be allowed here at X4. It's ridiculous, unnecessary & unfair. Not to mention pretty much a slap in the face to Brett. Posts such as "Man, Brett would have made that play." will be completely deleted. Repeat offenders will have their posting privileges reviewed. 2) Posts such as "I wish we had Brett back!" will also be removed. He's retired, he's not coming back & it's time to move forward with our new Packer era. 3) I have created a Brett Favre forum because he deserves it. All future Brett Favre discussions will take place in this forum. Favre is obviously the greatest Packer of All-Time and arguably the greatest football player of all-time. I understand there will be some discussion occasionally. I'm ok with that. I'd like to move forward and keep discussing the current Packers & the future Packers as much as possible specifically during the season. I will not be enforcing this new rule immediately. The new rule will be enforced once training camp begins at the end of July. Enjoy the forums everyone. Feel free to ask me questions if you have any. Thanks for reading. |

What would the ACLU think of this blatant Freedom of Speech violation? I'll be contacting Doctor-Reverend Muhammad Washington Jr. about this.

If Favre were still here, FRZ would never have made that post.

Rodgers is a highly paid professional so I think he should be fair game for any negative comments that come his way.
If some people just want to dwell on it and repeat the same "Rodgers ain't Favre" crap over and over and over again, I think the other posters on the board can make their own judgements on how worthy a post is or how stupid the same repetative crap is. Just take a look at the Brewer's board, I mean how many times can four or five people rehash the same "Yost is an idiot" garbage over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again? |

It's never a good idea to call the board owner a Fascist, but that's just me. |

Will the occasional "Man, Randy Wright would have made that play" be tolerated?

I think we should ban anyone who mentions the name of the great one in vain.

Negative comments I can handle (when warranted). Referring back to a former Packer QB, I won't tolerate. This is the same thing for former GM's. It's completely pointless.
Certainly, however, it's my job to remove "crap you need to sift through" which I will continuously do when necessary.
It's true, plus I wouldn't have had to make it using wireless from HMB brewery
Comments like this will not get you invited to Easter dinner.
I'm proud to lay down the ground rules for each of you. I'm glad everyone is having fun with this. Thanks |
