Have you all heard the crap going on in Dallas? I live here, and it's becoming downright comical.
Former cancer turned choir boy Terrell Owens, in the midst of a 12-1 season, has been taking jabs at former Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells. Apparently, since he has to be on his best behavior now, instead of crying to the media, he's taking none-too-subtle jabs at the Tuna. He's buddy buddy with new skipper Wade Phillips, so he has to direct his scorn somewhere.... Well, Keyshawn Johnson, who was drafted by Parcells when he was H.C for the Jets, called Owens out on ESPN (where he is now a color commentator). He said that Owens has been having an incredible, Pro Bowl year, but he needed to stop dissing Parcells. He said that the team that is winning big now was built by Parcells, and he was mostly responsible for their success. Emmitt Smith, sitting right next to him, looked lost when Keyshawn said the same thing about how Barry Switzer won with a team built by Jimmy Johnson (and Emmitt agreed. Take THAT catts!). Basically, he said that he just needed to shut up and play (which I agree with.....what is the world coming to when I agree with the guy that made the phrase "throw me the damned ball" popular?). Well, T.O., surrounded by reporters, had some unkind words for Meshawn. He basically chatted up how they came into the league at the same time, and how he was a better player than Johnson. He made jabs at Johnson's intelligence, showing mock surprise that he was able to get a job where he would have to speak for a living. He then played the woe is me card....everybody is disrespecting him again, and while the behavior by Johnson was not typical, it wasn't surprising, giving his relationship with Parcells. Well, then Johnson comes back out, and says something to the effect that Owens completely missed the point of his comments, and next time, he'll use fewer "big words", so Owens can truly understand what he is saying.... I'm just waiting for the next round...funny stuff. This just makes me all the more proud to be a fan of the Packers. We've had issues in the past, but you never see this kind of childish banter back and forth. Driver, Jennings and the other guys just go out there and let their playing speak for them. |

Actually, I hope that Owens and Johnson continue to banter back and forth.
When Owens is focused, he's just about unstoppable on the field. When he's distracted, well, he's a bit more manageable. So let him and Johnson have their war of words. --- That said, I agree 150% LS; I'll take the Packer players and how they conduct themselves any day/night of the week over someone like Owens. |

Maybe it was just me but when Me.O. was walking off the field in Detroit after the Cowboys won, he had a look on his face like he was not pleased. Basically, since he only had 3 catches and didn't really help the team win, he looked like he was pouting.
He had some interviews afterward where he seemed ok with it & he said the team winning is most important, but I think we all know better. I've seen him happy when his team loses but he has a huge game. The dudes an incredible wide receiver but he is about as mentally tough as a 3 year old. They Love ta hate me.....THEY LOVE TA HATE ME!!! |

To be perfectly honest, I think Keyshawn has a TERRIFIC future in television. He's fair, honest and eloquent-three things that Emmmmmitttttttt Smith couldn't find with a freakin' road map.

Its not as interesting anymore since TO has been so quiet on the homefront, its very entertaining to see him act like a three year old and pout and cry about this n that,I am happy to finally see the baby stirring again,I was getting worried he finally grew up,I wonder what either of them would be doing for a living if they were not football players playing a game.

I agree that Keyshawn is a great addition to ESPN's NFL coverage. I thought he was a jackass when he was playing, but I'm glad to be wrong. He's smart and candid, which is not something that can be said for most of the other yee-haws on that and other NFL shows.

Me.O. lives for the spotlight - and the more he gets, the more he wants. Hopefully this will continue to escalate until it starts to affect his play on the field. If not, someone should let MeShawn know that Jeff Gillooly is out of prison and looking for "work". |

I completely agree, I was not a big fan on Meshawn on the field, but I like listening to his analysis, and is very thoughtful, and well-spoken. Not a thug like Cokehead Irvin, or an idiot like Emmitt. |

I agree with Heckler. TO, like any 3-year-old, has very little self-control. The playoffs will provide just enough pressure for him to explode, Hindenburg-style. TO going down in flames, and the Packers in the playoffs. Merry freakin' Christmas, everybody!!

How often do players fly to Los Angeles on their off-day (on a non-bye week)? Is Tony Romo taking tips from Kyle Orton?

I also agree on Keyshawn. Frankly, I think he's better than any of the stiffs on that show with the possible exception of Tom Jackson. He is very thoughtful and you can tell he ACTUALLY DOES HIS HOMEWORK AND LOOKS AT TAPE. OMG!!!!1111. Quick, get him out of there before Berman infects him! |

Never much cared for him, and really didn't care for him after I learned he took part in the LA riots and looting after Rodney's beat down. A thug is a thug. Reformed? Maybe. Don't care. As for TO, it's been impressive to watch him (and MOSS too) keep a lid on things and behave. He doesn't seem like the same cancer that's been plaguing every team he's been on. The players and assets both of them could have been to their teams if they just acted then, like they're acting now. But...tick, tick, tick. Let's get a two or three game loosing streak behind the cokeboys, and let's see how PC TO is then... I'd love to see him implode, oh, right around week 2 or 3 of the playoffs. That would be special. |

As long as TO gets cut before the end of the season, it works for me.
With TO anything is possible. |

I was watching ESPN and MeShawn, the day he went-off on T.O.
He exploded on T.O. because T.O. is not giving credit to Parcells for [this season's success of the Cowboys. MeShawn is sore because, after-all, T.O. replaced MeShawn in Dallas and since MeShawn is a Parcells "Guy" he had to stick his "brown" nose in, where it does not belong. T.O. sent MeShawn to the booth and T.O. has told MeShawn to come to Dallas and try to win his position back. I'm glad T.O. put MeShawn in his place this week. Way to go T.O. MeShawn had to go before the camera to try and dig his way out of the embarrassment he created for himself. |

He was just telling TO to get over Parcells and stop talking about him since he's no longer there and TO, like he usually does, didn't fully understand what Keyshawn was saying and went on the offensive to make things a lot worse. Not surprising that you are supporting TO in this, after all, you support anything a player does while wearing a Cowboys uniform

- Yeah, ESPN producers are not fanning the flames? I hope they get done what they are setting out to do ... create drama because it might just be enough distraction to get the Pack to Arizona in February! |

I'm not gonna add much to this...I just want to say, God I hate the cowboys. I can't wait until TO leaves the pukes, and then comes back as a Patriot and dances on the star again.

No, he was not [just telling] He was [yelling] as if he forgot where he was. I thought he would explode. He made a fool of himself and even moreso when he later went on air, in an interview, trying to explain himself. He gave TO even more ammo to shoot back at him with. |
