They are similar in that neither is a white trash, money-grubbing MS trailer park hillbilly. WTF is the thinking behind this 'thread'?

I don't get the hostility. I think the question is whether they are both penalty prone guys who are never going to "get it".

To be more constructive - no, I don't think they're close to the same player. Carroll had the physical tools but was arrogant and was never able to make the transition to the pro game.

Bush is just a marginal guy. I can't imagine he's ever going to be more than a nickel guy and I would hope the Packers will replace him next year.

Exactly. He is this year's version of Patrick Dendy.

bush is gonna be a player. schottenheimer's holding him back, but he's got skills and he can hit people too. i like him. he's better than bigby was last year. bush and blackmon are the future harris and woodson. although TT will continue stocking with talent.

Bush wasn't a 1st round draft pick. Big difference.

Bush has struggled but his PI was bogus today. There was no interference.

He is having trouble with covering fast WRs but not to the degree that Carroll did.

I am still trying to figure out how pushing someone out of bounds isn't a penalty.

How about starting with deciding if he was pushed out of bounds? I think that's where you disagree with some others. I don't think he pushed him out of bounds. You do. That's the crux of the issue here - not how the rules are being interpreted.

Carroll cost them a first-rounder and was counted on to be a starter.

Bush cost them absolutely nothing in terms of draft picks or personnel, and he is counted on only to be a backup.

Carroll was better, because he was shorter.

If the Packers have any potential problem spots on defense it's at CB depth. I think in this next draft the Packers better act early and draft a corner with some starting potential.

Harris, and Woodson should hold up for another year or two, but behind them it's pretty questionable. Blackmon has some ability, but can't stay on the field. Bush looks like just a guy. He's pretty marginal.

Bush cut the wideouts path off. He looked back for the ball, but it was clear he intentionally put himself in the path of the wideout. That's pass interference.

Bush got to the spot first. He has that right. The wimpification of the NFL continues.

I want to know how you can review a play then pick up a penalty again? Sheesh. You can not throw the illegal touching penalty then pick up the flag. Second if they watch the play, the WR gave up on the play until he saw the ball in the air.
