The Packers will suffer turnovers in the first half which keep it close, but separate in the second half.

Final score:
Packers 28
Panthers 17

I could see us dropping this one, but I think the Pack will win 21-17. I think Carolina will score on one of their first two possessions and lead 10-7 at the half. The Pack will get their act together in the second half score twice and allow a fourth quarter score but stiffen and hold from that point on.

On the other hand, if the Pack comes out and scores first and the defense gets a take away or a couple of three and outs early in the first, Carolina could easily become as demoralized as their fans and it will turn into a blow out.

The Atlanta game is one game....I read somewhere that the Panthers are 6-3 in their last nine road games.

Panthers 17 Pack 10.

The Panthers are better than their record and this young team is due a lesson in humility.

I'm worried about this game.

First, Carolina is 4-1 on the road this year, and 0-4 at home.

Then, my good Packer Karma may be shot, as I wont be in the Chat room this week, because I'll be at deer camp. No TV even, will have to listen on the radio.

With so many of us predicting a blow-out, some overconfidence may get shattered. Maybe subconsciously the Pack is also looking ahead to the short week or overconfinent themselves.

If the weather does get sloppy, we will at least get to see if Grant can be a mudder.

Tough, hard fought game. Pack 20 Panthers 17

We are facing a 44 year old QB who was on the street 6 weeks ago. As long as Steve Smith doesn't go crazy or there aren't turnovers returned for TDs I see a close game in the first half with the Packer pulling away in the 2nd half for a 27-17 win.

I think MM will have this team ready to make another statement to the league. 8-1 is no fluke. The shutout of the Vikes was no fluke. This is an awesome defense.

Lions and Cowboys and Panthers, beware...

That is an interesting # but the Falcons stink. I would like to see the Panthers go to NY, Denver, and KC and see how they would do. Go Pack!

Packers 31
Panthers 10

Grant rushes for 110 and the Packers defense scores a touchdown.

I realize that the Panthers have been good on the road but then the Vikings looked dangerous last week coming off the win vs. San Diego. I think it will be a physical game but that the Panthers offense will not prove to be significantly better than Minnesota's.

No prediction, just facts:

Panthers are last in the league in sacking the QB, and second to last in interceptions. They are also one of the worst teams at protecting the QB. They rank 28th in total offense.

Their road record is impressive, but look at the teams they've beaten:
St. Louis
Atlanta
Arizona
New Orleans

Not to mention, they've lost 3 straight.

Smith has missed two days of practice so far this week. I don't like seeing guys hurt, but with that being said, I wouldn't mind if his shin didn't feel better until Monday.

vinny testaverde scores the game winning TD on a qb draw with 5 seconds left. the packers could have stopped the clock before that to save time for their offense but chose not to.

This is a statement game for the Packers and the team respects that challenge.

Packers 45
Panthers 10

Catts will openly root against the pack on our forum because some maintenance man in the Panthers organization once mowed the lawn of Jerry Jones aunt nellie
