wayne huizenga (sp) in tears. not sure if it's cuz the team finally won a stinking game or just the realization of how bad the team is.

on the other side, the ravens. seconds away from beating the undefeated patriots and they lose to the winless dolphins.

The Ravens blew their collective wad against the Patriots a couple of weeks ago and haven't been the same since. I wonder if the Ravens front office will maintain its assertion that Billick will return next season.

Even worse, the Ravens missed a 44-yarder in OT that would have won it.

I don't second guess play calls too much, but I think Billick shoulda gone for the win in regulation. I like my chances on 4th and 1 when the Dolphins were reeling.

It's not the play-calling to me, it's the fact that overall, he's completely lost his team, starting with the NE meltdown. You can't lose a team like that and expect to keep your job, IMHO. The statute of limitations on his Super Bowl win has passed.

Isn't it "statue" of limitations?

Do you think that statute has passed for Mike Shanahan?

I hope not, I like watching the Broncos underachieve.

The Rat stays as long as he wants to stay. My paranoid side says The Rat has some sort of 'extra' pull there that none of us knows about.

I'm lovin' the loss to the Dolphins! And I hope Billick stays put. I'd like to see them wallow in mediocrity for a few years. Couldn't happen to a nicer organization.
Wait....what's that I'm hearing in the backgroud? Ray Lewis bitching and second-guessing his coach? ROFL2

Gotta suck to be Stover... that was the first overtime kick he's ever missed...

baltimore has just completely fallen apart. their season was dead even before they played the patriots but they left it all on the field in that game and haven't done anything right since.

too bad, i'd have liked to see miami go 0-16. i'd much rather see a team break that record than to go 16-0. would have been a nice double whammy to the 72 dolphins to have their franchise set both records.

The Dolphins are rolling now. They are peaking just at the right time. The Pats are their next victim.

Originally I was pulling for them to go 0 - 16, but after reading Dilly's response and saw that's what he wanted, I have to change my mind and say I'm sure glad they won!!
