i have been noticing, ever since watching the games in HD that the packer helmets have a sparkle to them...like a certain type of autobody finish, don't know the right term for it...looks like water glistening

is that me? my tv set? at first early in the season i just thought it was water but in the dome? [they did have a leaky roof during the game but that's not it i'm sure]

anyone know abt this?

No I've seen the "glitter finish" before also. The only team I havn't seen with that is Pittsburgh.

I don't think anyone is going to call A.J. Hawk or Nick Barnett girly men just because of a glittery helmet!! They could have pink uniforms and bows on their helmets and no one would say a thing!

I sure the hell would and after my beatdown I would start watching soccer.

I noticed the gold metalflake a few seasons back, and started checking out other teams' helmets. I think the reason they do it (aside from the fact that it looks "bitchin',DUDE!") is to make the color stand out more.
Either that, or Clay Aiken has taken over the Packers' Equipment orders.
