A German coming to Wisconsin. I think you'll fit right in.
You'll have a ball at Lambeau but certainly check up on some of the German culture in the area as well. "Smedley" Braun |

I think you need to sit down and start figuring out how much money you are willing to spend and go from there.
After you know how much money you have, you can begin to set up a budget for all expenses. How much you starting with? |

Breezeman,
sorry, that was an inside joke from a thread from the past. Just trying to have some fun. I hope you make it to a Packer game. Good luck! |

I think your best bet would be to fly into Chicago O'Hare, rent a car and drive to all of your locations from there. you'd have more than enough time to get from green bay to detroit in time for that game on thanksgiving. hotels may be hard to come by in green bay, you can check on orbitz or one of those sites but there are alot of motels in the area and I could help you with names of those types of places. I actually check orbitz and it appears the Regency Suites in downtown Green Bay has availability...
I'll be at the Carolina game and always tailgate in the lot so if you make it, you're more than welcome to join us for some pre-game brewskis and food. |

the best would be, as cheap as possible. i calculate about 1000€. should be about 1300$ i think. 408€ is the flight (frankfurt-chicago, detroit-frankfurt) 150€ the lambeau ticket 100€ the ford field ticket car would be for the week 280€ without gas (with hertz, maybe there are cheaper car rents) i dont know if i would need a car all the time. maybe you need no car in green bay. if i will find somebody where i can stay for 2-3 nights i need the car just for the arriving day. or is it possible to come to green bay from ohare by bus or train? and the trip to detroit. would it be possible to do this by train or bus? hotel rates would break my budget. maybe in detroit are kind of youth hostels or something like that... |

Definitely. Don't rent a car. Take the bus from O'Hare to GB to Detroit and back to O'Hare. |

question mark? i was lookin to contact some people in greeb bay. i wrote to this newspaper, too and the man told me that he could post it down in a kind of green bay newspaper in an out of bounce section. i think this is pretty great help. ok, i found a lot of people here in the forum, but i did not know this forum when posting to the newspaper. |

I am sure that you can find a bus from Chicago to Milwaukee atMegabus for about 10.00 US$ each way (to and from) Maybe there is a Milwaukean who is going to the game who can help you out with a ride and maybe even put you up (otherwise there should be some cheaper hotels in the Milwaukee area). There are probably also charter buses that leave from Milwaukee up to Green Bay on gameday someone may know of. After the game back to Milwaukee, then Chicago to Detroit for about $20.00 on Megabus. That would be pretty cheap travel since you are flying out of Detroit. Good Luck!!! |

sounds great... the bus from greyhound cost 38$ for the trip to green bay. would be the best to stay in green bay because i will visit the atrium, hall of fame and do a lambeau field tour the day after the game. the price of megabus is pretty well... i will just have a look at their site. thanks for writing and for the link!!! |

I was thinking on my way home from work that you may want to check out Hostels or Hotels in Windsor Canada. I looked and could not find any in Detroit that were basically hotels for $70 per night. They were still available in Detroit. You may be able to find a Motel 6 or something like that with a better rate. Windsor is a much nicer city. Very close. More European. Good luck.
