I'll agree Blackmon was somewhat leaky in pass defense today - not a sieve, but definitely lacking top-level instincts. Still, GB isn't getting real strong play from the nickel back as it is (one of the few remaining holes to fill IMHO after having only three drafts to rebuild), so I wouldn't mind seeing Blackmon get more time anyway. It's pretty obvious his upside is ridiculous - the guy is a freak of an athlete, so perhaps he'll get his feet on the ground faster than the other guys. Seems to be a limited downside to playing him more.

That's a gigantic overstatement. It's the first time the guy has been on the field in months and you expect the guy not to be a little rusty? He has great instincts and will be a solid corner if he stays healthy. From what I saw, he had one or two bad plays at most. |

Slightly off-topic, but can someone explain why Blackmon's second TD was reviewed? They said Green Bay was challenging the ruling that the runner was down, but I thought anything that happened after the whistle couldn't be reviewed.
Was there no whistle? If not, why didn't they call the TD when it happened? |

CitizenDan,
My guess is they didn't blow the whistle, BUT, if the knee touched before he lost the ball, it would still be ruled not to be a TD. So, they reviewed. By the way, was it Blackmon who had that awesome open field DB tackle? It was a wide running play and Hawk was around as well, but the DB had an excellent burst and took the RB down at the knnes. Wonderful play and I believe on a 3rd and short. |

That was Nick Collins who undercut the guy in the backfield. Nice play.

That was Collins, and actually, I think it was on 4th and 1. Great play!

Watching Mike McCarthy show. They have Will Blackmon on as the guest.
He has a kick ass fro! Spoke about how after he was injured earlier in the year then saw TT. TT said, "Don't worry about it. Me & you are going to be attached at the hip." Hey they waited a while but hopefully Will can continue today what he began vs. Oakland. |

Even though KRob got a good return, if a faster guy like Blackmon or Williams had run that same route, they would have gotten many more yards or even a TD.
Why isn't Blackmon on kick returns? |
