From 7th overall pick to dealt for a 6th...
I guess he's their version of Jamal Reynolds. |

Its actually more fun than that
Randy Moss was the genesis of that number 7 pick, so the vikes gave up Moss for a conditional 7th rounder, 4 years later. Of course the vikes did get LB Napolean Hariss too, so that evens it all out... |

Wasn't that conditional 7th rounder Adrian Ward though? Sweet.

Are the Vikings really in a position to be trading WRs? When Robert Ferguson and Bobby Wade are your 2 best WRs, you know you're in trouble!
If anything they should be trading FOR more WRs. Maybe they're planning to draft WRs with their first 3 picks because that's what they need! |

Considering their situation at QB, they might as well not have any talent at WR......see Oakland Raiders.

Trading ones that can't catch makes sense. |

I wish the Pack could have gotten a sixth rounder for Jamal. |

They do have Sidney Rice and Andre Allison in the wings and both have more upside than Williamson. This is one of those addition by subtraction situations. We're going to miss Williamson. |

It would be funny, but for some reason that guy (Moss) would always raise his game because Favre was on the opposing sideline. I'd prefer to keep him out of the division. Although...... I hear Matt Millen may be looking for another WR ;-) |

In my journalism class, the guy in charge of PR for the Lions came in to speak. He said that part of his job was handling "emergency situations." From the back of the room I said loudly "like explaining to the fans why you took another WR in the first round?" He couldn't figure out who said it because everyone around me was laughing too hard. |

What would be funny is if Williamson gets his confidence back and becomes a very good receiver.

This was a good deal for the Vikings IMO.

That is a good point. If history is any indicator, every mock draft should have the Lions taking a WR. Question is, this year anyway, which one? |
