And that proved to be deadly accurate, right? Roll Eyes

Why don't you go back and pull up Terrell Davis' scouting report. I'm sure that's right on as well.

Let's not get into the personal attacks. Thanks. . I simply posted a scouting report from last year. Roll Eyes

A very subjective measure, but go back and watch his college tape.

A bit of a Brady nuzzler, aren't you? Listen, Brady's arm is plenty strong and that is all that matters. He has an NFL arm, but lots of QBs have better arms than Brady does. The great Jeff George, for example. There is more to NFL play than arm strength. Joe Montana, IMO, is the best I ever saw. Not the strongest arm in the league, but strong enough to throw a deep out.

You mean the year he broke the NFL record by throwing 50 TD passes?

I didn't think it was that bad but I've learned that what you can say on this board often depends on who you are.

"Aaron's at the top of every list," McCarthy said, "so that tells you the kind of athletic ability he has. He's a lot more athletic than a lot of people realize. So, physically, there's a lot to work with. Maturity-wise, him not playing the first couple years has helped him, and going through the process of preparing, you can see each year how he's improved in the classroom and his complete understanding of how everything works around here and he can apply it. He's smart. You have no limitations in game-planning volume. He can do everything we ask of him. So, there's a lot to work with. What he doesn't have is the experience."

Yeah, maybe so, but he is no Brett Favre...Sorry, I couldn't resist it.

ARod, is going to be BIGTIME. I just love the way the kid plays. he's tough, smart and confident, and he has a great arm. Favre good, no, but he has a better arm than Brady, from what I have seen. Obviously, plenty good enough. His release? better than Brett's. Mobility? Better than Brett's.

We are SuperBowl contenders, y'all.

The two young QB's will make for an exciting pre-season.

I am really excited about Rodgers, but I am not ready to say he is BIGTIME just yet. Yes he has mobility and a good arm. Yes he is smart. Yes he has yet to start a game. Rodgers has a crapload of potential, but at this point, that is all it is - potential.

If you buy into McCarthy's analysis, and I am inclined to do so, we should be pretty comfortable with Rodgers as our QB, but we should also expect mistakes to happen. This team is a playoff contender and should challenge for the division. But it is the team that makes us a contender, not just Rodgers himself. The running game needs to be consistent for 16 weeks not just 8. The defense needs to raise its game up to the next step. Special teams needs to have no let downs from 2007. This is more than putting a capable yet inexperienced guy under center. All this comes together and then I think you can safely say we are Super Bowl contenders.

Don't get me wrong, I think the 2008 Packers have a real shot at having a great season. It will be a lot of fun to watch what happens. But lets not get overly excited like the kid working his kung fu moves in front of the bathtub from Smokin' Aces.

You make me sick. Don't you realize you are talking to the guy who predicted Jamal Reynolds' greatness???

I agree, Rodgers has proven very little, but GMs project guys when they draft them. I think I will allow myself the same liberty.

Worse case is Rodgers lacks sufficient durability to be a starting NFL quarterback. There ain't much data and so any confidence in saying this is very small.

But, what little data there is, is pretty bad. Durability-wise, I mean.

Best case looks to be extremely good.

Didn't see what you wrote. One of the mods removed this.

Had Pakrz said it, I can guarantee you I would have removed whatever was offending. It doesn't matter who you are rather what & HOW you say it.

Pakrz saying anything offensive? Please....

She just got her panties in a wad because she couldn't account for 50 TD passes being thrown by a guy with a rag arm. No big deal. That's certainly not the first time she's been wrong in her life.

Back yon in the the days of yore, Goalline was the Jamal Reynolds guru. You couldn't get into a discussion with the guy without the term "body lean" coming up.

He said Aaron has a better ARM than Brady. He didn't say he is BETTER than Brady.

Yeah, but Aaron's never been the meat in a Giselle Buendchen, Brigitte Moynihan sammich.

No way he bags any women of that caliber as long as he's cultivating the "Scott Stapp" look.

Don't sell Aaron short. He's the starting QB for the Green Bay Packers now. I'm thinking his hot factor has increased. Look at Tony Romo for example. He ended up as the meat in a Jessica Simpson and T.O. sammich. omg

I think Aaron can do considerably better than that. Thumbs Up
