In retrospect, that was one strange, glorious season. I know there weren't many people, even among fans, who could have seriously predicted a 13-3 year. I really think that we weren't as good as our record showed. There were certainly at least two or three wins that we lucked into. It's almost like we were blessed.

Unfortunately, Brett's retirement has me feeling like 2007 was a disappointment. Knowing it was his last season makes that terrible loss to the Giants all the worse, especially after the magical season we had. We seemed like a team of destiny for a while...

Either way, I'm definitely adding that DVD to my wishlist... thanks.

Thanks to the movies, you can make anything bigger than it really was or put things into proper perspective.

Like the Philly game, perhaps the Redskin game. Early in the year we got off to a good start with some "lucky" breaks, and went on a nice roll to almost the SuperBowl.

( I'll save CoP the trouble and provide his likely responce which would go something like this: Our stupid, redneck hillbilly QB just wanted to get out of the frigid conditions and into a warm shower. Thats why he lobbed that last pass so the Giants could win, cause he no longer had the will to lead us in final minute glory ... with about 6 paragraphs of me, me, me sprinkled in between. .... )

I'm a firm believer that any win is a good win, regardless if we lucked into it or not. One or two plays can decide many a game.

Only 24 minutes long? That doesn't seem like enough to do the season justice.....
