Whatta guy! I'm betting we do see some FA activity on the O-line this year. I'd like to see what Tony Palmer could do.

Agreed. I think TT almost has to go out and get a guard.

Right now it seems like Coston would be the only other option as a starter. I'm thinking he grabs a couple mid tier guys and draft picks to get the competition really going. Fact is the Packers need to be looking for tackles as well. Clifton and Tauscher are doing great but they ain't getting any younger either. Major priorities, find future CBs and tackles. |

The way the current roster sits I wouldn't be unhappy to see go Oline in round one this year. A high quality guard, or tackle would make a lot of sense. |

Problem is, there aren't a whole lot of guards in this year's draft. The best one clearly is Roy Schuening, but he wouldn't really be of good value until late in the second round. The next best one is Eric Young of Tennessee, but the guy is the definition of Viking People. Perhaps we could grab a C like Mike Pollack, who is Spitz-like in his agility. But all in all, we're going to have to hope for some diamonds in the rough.

I agree that G is a need, but I would like to see GB actually add guys who play G, and stop with the experimentation stuff of moving Ts to G or even vice versa. If a guy plays G, then let him play G. If he's a T, leave him there. I'm not saying changing never works, as Clifton and Tauscher have both spent time at G during their playing careers for short times, but it just seems that it's been a very long time since GB brought in an actual G. Let's try that once and see how it goes.

Colledge, converted LT to LG. Moll, converted TE to RG. Spitz, guard. I think TT better take the same stance with the O-line that he does with receivers. No way a guard or center gets drafted in the first round unless he's better than Hutchinson. |

I haven't studied up much on the draft this season ... that seems to be the case for me when the Packers are good. Looking over some mock drafts it doesn't appear that Oline is very strong, but it's early yet .. lots could change.
One name that keeps popping up late in the 1st round is a cornerback I like a lot ... Antoine Cason. If the Packers could get him in round one it would be a sweet move. |

Agreed, but I also think that OL, along with DB, is a position that should be addressed in the mid-late rounds of every draft. It seems like teams never have enough of any of these guys. I hope TT goes and re-signs Adrian Klemm on the first day of UFA - start the new OL shopping season with a big splash. |

Mike Jenkins of USF would be excellent. He may drop because he had a arrest for disorderly conduct, which is a risk. He is a phenomenal player that could be in the Packer's range in the first. |

I disagree. Why overpay for a vet just when the young guys are ready to take the next step. These guys have talent, all of them. They need time to develop that talent. BTW, don't forget about young Mr Barbre. |

TT trades down to get an extra pick and take an OL and a DB from some little school and everybody says WHO?

I can't wait for the draft. I'm gonna go down to the Varsity Club with Packer Deb and scream "TT is a Nazi Jew" after every pick. |

Would a "Nazi Jew" just immediately kill himself?

As dumb as this may sound, I think Colledge may have a future as a starting LT in our offense. I think he has the athleticism to get it done. If I'm MM, I would put him at LT and leave him there. No more rotating around for Colledge. |

I love Cason. I don't expect him to be around at #32 when GB picks but it would be a huge 1st round steal. |

Cason would be a huge coup if he would last past the top-20. Unfortunately, I don't see him lasting that long, but stranger things have happened. I guy I'm really high on is Aqib Talib from Kansas. That Tennessee State guy has great size, but I don't know if he'd he worthy of a first round pick. Definitely grab him in the second round though if he's there. |
