It's funny how people can see things differently. There were some things about Brohm that I really liked. I just saw Brohm as a guy who looked like a natural QB. By no means am I saying he is ready to be starting for the Packers RIGHT NOW. But there's some things I saw from Brohm that intrigue me. Some guys have a feel for the game, and Brohm looked like a guy that was decisive in his throws and going through his progressions. He doesn't have the arm that Rodgers does, but it didn't look bad though.

I agree about Brohm, but his arm just isn't what it needs to be, IMHO. Perhaps that'll improve with time, but that seems to be what he lacks, along with some mobility, but it's hard to tell without live QB hitting.

What little I saw looked shaky. He threw behind some guys. Hopefully once the pre-season games begin he'll start to look a little better. Even if Favre manages to win back the starting job we still need Rodgers to show some good things. |

Oh. Missed that. That sucks no matter what. As far as Rodgers performance, the guy needs time. If he starts this year, I wouldn't expect him to hit his stride to later in the season. |

Fireworks yet to come. I'm hoping for Favre jetting out of the tunnel yet.

Unfortunately, from the sound of things, the fans won't give him "time" to get things going. The minute he has a bad game, etc they and the entire media will be all over him. |

Giving away a Jenning's jersey. Could he be getting cut to make room for Brett.

That guy that won Rodgrs Jersey doesn't have a hope or a prayer of fitting in it.

As bad as the pro-Favre people are the anti-Favre people are just as sickening. Everyone has a right to their takes and if a person thinks Brett Favre should be the quarterback or Aaron Rodgers should be that doesn't make them any less then a Packers fan or any less knowledgable fan. The people that come on this message board that slam Brett Favre or the people support Brett Favre are no different then those people.
For the actual scrimmage tonight I am hoping some of this can be blamed on the schedule being off and the conditions to some of the O's problems. The OL looks pretty good in run protection but the depth is suspect. Other then Clifton and Tauscher at OT they are getting killed with the speed rush. The booing was horrible and uncalled for towards Aaron Rodgers. With that being said he didn't look so great tonight. Hopefully it was the pressure of the night and just being mentally spent. Like said above all the QB's looked less then spectacular. No wonder the Packers weren't worried about the Ryan Grant situation. I think all the backs on the roster offer something. Brandon Jackson looks totally different. Noah Harron can be one heck of third down back. Even that rookie out of Georgia looked good. I can see why Bubba Franks was let go...#84 I am blanking on the name right now has some skills. Williams and Rouse look good in the secondary. The best rookie seems to be Patrick Lee. He has some good skills. Get Nick Collins off the corner. |

To be honest, I'm consistently irritated by the "let's be gratuitously nasty" comments; it's as though x4 has been stuck in a perpetual "two minutes hate" against Favre ever since this whole thing began and that no matter what Favre does, people are going to find a way to twist it to "prove" that Favre is somehow evil incarnate. At least you didn't call Favre fans trailer trash like one particularly bigoted poster did not too long ago.
I've been posting consistenly that I'd hoped Brett would stay retired. The problem, though, is that more and more x4 seems to have become an echo chamber wherein if you're not sufficiently anti-Favre you'll get more and more demonized. |

I think perhaps you're not seeing what gets people set off. It's not that folks admire/appreciate Favre. I think most, if not all, do on some level. It's the reasoning behind bringing Favre back that burns asses. This includes:
1. But, he's Brett Favre; 2. He's earned the right to do what he wants; 3. He's earned the right to play where he wants; 4. He's earned the right to have his job back; 5. He was second in the MVP vote last year (my favorite) and finally, and I think the biggest red herring, is: 6. Favre OBVIOUSLY gives GB the best chance to win this year. None of those hold logical water, and when they're hammered in there over and over and over again, it's just as disgusting for those who are sick of the BS from MS. Personally, I think management handled this extremely well until a few days ago, when suddenly the GBP became the Keystone Cops, bumbling around and really not knowing what to do, so in the end everyone looks ridiculous. It's not being "anti-Favre enough," it's a failure to be "pro-Favre with sound reasoning behind it." The fact that the majority feels this way means nothing more than more people feel that way. Not to mention, getting the venom out of the way before the real season starts isn't necessarily a bad thing. |

X4 has changed a ton this year. Lots of name calling and just flat out tasteless comments about Favre and Favre supporters.

It's just a scrimmage, and it shouldn't really matter a lick, but Aaron Rodgers really could have used a big night.

The first 4 I have not uttered, nor will I ever. (and agreed, are emotional, not logical points) The last two - sans the word OBVIOUSLY, are true and IMO, logical. |
