I agree about too many rules, and I also agree about consistency.

IOW, call the game in the 4th quarter the same way you'd call it in the first.

And--for the record--as much as we despise the Patriots, every one of those calls in the last minute or so of the game was the correct one.

Ryan called the timeout.

The Patriots' lineman committed the false start.

The tight-end was mugged in the end zone.

And the receiver had both hands on the ball; yes, he pulled it to his body as he went out of bounds, but he still had "control."

As mentioned, on the hail mary, a Patriot player was literally mugged--no penalty called.

Finally, the Ravens lost the game on Monday night for two reasons:
  1. They lost their nerve on defense--dropping back into coverage instead of pressuring Brady
  2. They lost their composure
