The Bears had 28 points off turnovers today. The Bears did not commit a single turnover today.

Packers had more yardage today. Just not in the right times and places. Que sera sera.
Remember Dallas has to win THEIR first game to get to the rematch, too. |

Even though the Vikings scare me, I've heard that Dallas matches up best w/them....so maybe they will be our first game. |

I've been thinking this for a long time and have argued with my brother about this. I was scared to post anything about it because I didn't want to get blasted.
The PACKERS are not a COLD weather team!!!!!! 1) Favre is getting old (in football years) = his body/hands cannot handle it. 2) Our running game is not superior. 3) Our "O" is built to throw the ball ALOT All Over the Field. 4) Our "O" is built on receivers getting the ball quick while using their SPEED. 5) Our Special Teams are huge to us because of SPEED. Favre has had little trouble, Actually excelling the last few years in controled weather environments --- warm weather/dome games. He does not fit the bill as a cold weather guy anymore. The Cold has brought out the worst in him lately.... I feel much more comfortable playing on the road / warm/dome than playing at home <20 degrees... Go Pack!!!!! Get Healthy!!!!! |

STEAMBOAT, Tx Stadium is not a domed stadium and there has been snow, freezing rain and sleet on the playing surface of TX stadium a few times and freezing temps that you mentioned. |

And a toilet bowl isn't really a bowl either, it has a hole in the bottom.

I wasn't referring to playing in Texas Stadium..... I was just stating an opinion I've had for a long time.... Texas Stadium (while only a 3/4 dome) is better suited for the Pack "O" then <20 in GB.... |

Even w/a hole it's still a bowl. A bowl w/a whole hole. |

I've read a lot about how homefield isn't that big of a deal in the playoffs but it's mostly been in the AFC where a lot of these upsets have happened and in most cases it's been the Patriots beating the home opponents (i.e. Pittsburgh, San Diego) as the underdog.
If you look at the NFC outside of the Vikings home choke job in 1998 almost always the #1 or #2 seed wins at home. That shouldn't be good news for a team like Green Bay but if GB is in the situation where they have to go to Dallas again I still think they have a chance. Why? I would doubt that they will be as banged up as before and they've already played there this year in a big game so you would think they would know what to expect. Of course, it's always possible that a team like Washington could upset the Cowboys in round 1 and if GB beat their opponent they could play the championship game at home. I never underestimate these divisional rivalry type games and Dallas is a hard team to figure out right now because they haven't played well in a LONG time. |

T,in round 2? #3 is Seattle ,#4 seed is Tampa, the seeding is probable going to end up like this for wild card weekend: Giants @ Tampa Whomever(Vikings,Skins) @ Seattle Do you really see Seattle getting upset? |

I meant that Washington could always beat Tampa or Seattle and then beat Dallas to face GB in the NFCCG.
Washington just has the look right now where they are dangerous. They really beat up the Giants and Vikings the last two games (on the road nonetheless) and they've been in every game going back to the Patriots debacle in October. In reality, with a few breaks here or there the Redskins could be an 11 or 12 win team. I fully expect they will beat Dallas next week and you can't underestimate a guy like Joe Gibbs. He always seems to get his guys ready in these do or die type situations. |

Our defensive gameplan going to yesterday was play not to lose as evidenced by the corners playing off ... MM will not make that mistake again. If he goes to smash-mouthed football(Fullback and 2 TE's to block)for 4 downs after going up 7-6, that game is different. If that game is in Lambeau yesterday, the Bears would of been huddled around the heaters.
Any idea that it would be better to play at Dallas for the NFCC game because Brett Favre is old, feeble, arthritic and a pussy is moronic and assanine. The team/coaching needs adjust and grow a pair during in-climate weather and ride the fandom "Heat" that would be nuts ... could you imagine getting up on Dallas in crappy weather, the fans and defense would go crazy! You go up in Dallas its a yawn and Dallas's offense comes back on the field coming right back at you, advantage Dallas ... |

I agree with NJS and Steamboat (except the Favre part):
1) It's a precision offense, based on speed. And except for Driver, the receivers are all young and not used to extreme cold. It's not being a wussy to not be used to something. It's fffreeezing in Green Bay. I'm from there and it still shocks me when I go back. 2) I like the idea of winning the first game at home, getting some momentum and then moving on. I think it would make the team more focused. 3) We've been to Dallas once already this year. This will not be an entirely new experience for these guys. They'd probably stay at the same hotel even. So it wouldn't be completely foreign soil. 4) I've never thought home field advantage means too much for nationally televised games. The bottom line is, we lost there this year once, and I think the whole team would bring a "not-this-time" attitude with them back to Dallas. I'm glad we lost this game. This is obviously not a cold weather team, and yesterday showed us that. |

I think you're right on. Offense and defense had an illogical game plan. Would like to see how the game would have played out if our coaches would not have been outcoached by Lovie and Ron Turner of all people... |
