Anyone else think that this team is better suited to play at Dallas (hopefully it will come to that) instead of at Green Bay. I think Barber would be an absolute beast at Lambeau in the crappy weather and the 5 wide set would be better suited for the turf. This is strictly based on the team types and not if they would have a better shot at winning.

Emmitt Smith says the Packers need HFA more than the Cowboys because Favre is 0-9 in Dallas.

I couldn't say whether the Packers are better suited for Dallas or not, but, as a fan, I would have no problem playing them at either place. Green Bay can beat them. - a Favre meltdown, of course.

Then I'm going the opposite. Guys Wonderlic score made Vince Young the valedictorian of football. |

Tom Jackson then called him out for being the biggest Dallas fan ever. I thought it was pretty funny. Key and Jackson seemed to lean towards Dallas needing HFA more than Green Bay and Ditka said both sides need it the same.

I stopped caring what those puppets at ESPN said a long time ago. I was looking for opinions that mattered and I heard sounds coming from the bathroom that are more intelligent that that marbled mouth idiot, E. Smith.

Homefield is an advantage. I'd rather the Packers have it than Dallas. Barber's a beast in Dallas and definitely fires up the fans (and maybe vice-versa). Maybe our 5-wides are faster on turf, but so is the Dallas pass rush that injured Favre last month. We're much better off playing at home.

Dallas does not have a sterling record playing in Green Bay by any means and it SEEMS that the Packers have had to go to Dallas forever and try to win a game, let Dallas go to Green Bay and find out roses dont grow in the snow and neither do wins.

Then what are you doing here? I'd still prefer the game at Lambeau. Bad weather may hinder the long passes by Romo that hurt us in Dallas. The short passing game where we excel would be O.K. and considering the WRs benefits in sloppy weather since they know where they're going. Barber is a stud , but does that make him a good "mudder"? He'd probably do fine, but I'm curious since he played college ball in a dome and the turf in Dallas. And finally, I'm sick of having nearly all our games with Dallas down there. Since Brett has been around how many matchups have been in GB? I only recall 1 and I think it was on the opening weekend of a deer gun season and we beat them handily. |

With the way the Packers just played this first half against the Bears (pathetic in almost every department other than 2 runs by Grant), I almost have to believe that a Lambeau Field home game would have little advantage.

One must keep in mind that these are very extreme conditions today. No guarantee that a January game in Lambeau will have 30+ MPH winds. It will be cold, of course, but the cold is not the problem today.

I realize the conditions are extreme, but I would still expect GB to play better. Wow!

Well, now I'm nervous about the first round game. Another performance anything close to the one today, and the Packer will never make to Dallas.

Don't be nervous. We have a bye the 1st round. It's the 2nd round where you should be nervous!

the pressure will be on dallas. the packers will have the "we are playing with house money attitude". I am worried that they may not get there.

Temp's weren't the issue. Snow wasn't the issue. It started and ended with the wind if you're going to blame the weather.
In my mind, this team was reading the headlines and the hype that the next 2 games GB would coast. They were totally flat, uninspired and were waiting for someone to hand them a W. |

The wind excuse is BS. If anybody tries to use it.
Kyle fricken Orton went 8 for 14 and a TD. He had a 101.3 QB rating. And that was including the DROPPED TD BY #87!!!!!!!! The Bears had no problems punting or with long snaps. |

Dallas has not lost on the road this season, but have lost two at home so I don't feel at ease about home play-off games. |

I would have prefered to see the Pack beat the bears but will have to settle for the bears getting a worse draft pick and believing that orton is there QB of the future. I WANT the pack to go to dalass for the NFC championship. There is no more Lambeau mystique or cold weather advantage. They disappeared years ago. I want Favre to get some payback for those 9 losses in texas. Win or lose thats where I wanted to see it happen.

It ended in 2002, to be exact, and was pounded even further into oblivion in 2004. I agree to a point - GB unfortunately needs good weather, but they NEED to re-establish their home playoff dominance as well.

How many of those 9 games in Dallas were post season games and determined by seeding? |
