It's better for the future prosperity of the NFL for pretty much everybody to see the games. There's got to be somebody besides ESPN.

Are you referring to NFL Network? NFLN is the outlet that the least number of fans have access to.

The best thing that they can do about Thursday games is by doing away with them. What used to make the NFL special is that all of their games save one per week took place on Sunday. And all but one of those took place within a 6 and 1/2 hour timeframe. That made Sunday's in the Fall special. Now it's being watered down by having games on Thursday, Saturday and Monday (and sometimes even two games on Monday night).

Stick with the one game on Monday night and have all the rest on Sunday afternoon. They can do away with the Sunday night game for my taste.

Couldn't disagree more with this. How on earth is spreading the games out so people can actually watch them "watering down" the games? If anything, the reverse is true.

The NFL is currently the most popular professional sport in America. People want to watch it, because it is a great sport. How is confining people to being able to see only 2 games on Sunday in any way beneficial to the sport or its fans?

"Because it's always been that way?" Confused

I actually agree with SouthoftheLine here. I look back on the late 90's and early part of this decade, and it was a lot more exciting when you had all the games played on Sunday, and then had the ONE game on Monday. (Wasn't MNF more exciting when there wasn't Saturday Night, Sunday Night, and Thursday Night Football?) It was just more exciting. Maybe it was because then you appreciated the games you *did* get to watch, more. Or maybe because it was a lot more interesting to catch up on all the scores all at once, I don't know.

There's no such thing in my mind as "Too much football". I'll watch a compelling Cardinal/49er match-up if it's on.

Some of us would have to be "compelled" to watch it.

Hell, I sat through Italy's boring football match against Spain, all 120+ minutes of it.

you must be remembering wrong then because they did end of the year regular season Saturdays games and Sunday Night games in the time frame also.

There is no problems with Thursdays games nor the NFLN,it's just that the big two cable companies(time warner and comcast) are still trying to bully their way into getting those games and the channel.
