Thank you Hitler. I love you! Figures Fedya would mention Crush. No straight Russian man would drink crush. We know what kind of Russian you are, buddy. |

I can honestly say I don't have the foggiest idea what MMA even stands for. Nor do I know if Kimbo is a man, woman, vegetable, or mineral.

Whats the league Whisper Goodman fights in? I always liked Whisper. I thought they'd have kept him if we played in a dome. Had more speed than Tony Fisher. Good to see him succeeding in something else.

A drunk rhino stuck in quicksand was faster than Tony Fisher. |

Where I work, MMA stands for Multi Maritime Aircraft. But something tells me that may not be what they are talking about here. |

Moments from now, Mrs. Blair Kiel is going to give me the signal (I'm tired, if you want some fun, you better hurry-up") and then I won't be on-line for about 12 minutes.

I'm going to the Black & White Ball in about 2 hours. Thanks for the heads up Goalline. I set the DVR so we'll get a chance to see if Kimbo has had any decent training, even against some lower caliber competition. |

So the black guy is Seal. Is the white guy the dude with the bad skin in Grease who drag-raced Danny? |

Boy some disappointing endings so far. I thought the ref stopped the first fight too early, and Gina's fight definitely should not have been stopped either. Sanitized for network viewing? Certainly looks that way to me.
It still is always a good night whenever Phil Baroni gets his ass whipped. |

That was pretty entertaining, but I agree what PJ is saying - all those fights were stopped pretty quick. The home-slice got lucky in that last fight.

What a steaming pile of dung! That had to be the worst MMA show I ever saw. If I was a first time viewer of MMA that would probably be the last show I would ever watch. Of the five fights, four of the stoppages were complete crap. Nice gift for Kimbo there at the end.

Yeah I was like WTF with all 3 of the stoppages I saw - the chicks fight, the title fight and the Kimbo fight. That was a crock, even the announcers were saying how terrible it was. If MMA is anywhere near as corrupt as boxing is they probably want to make sure Kimbo keeps winning for awhile to keep the hype machine going.

Totally agreed. I tuned in to see what all the fuss was over this MMA stuff. To say I was unimpressed is an understatement. I'll take a boxing match anyday over the waste of time I saw of MMA last nite. Say what you will about boxing (much if not most of it true) it's still a far better product IMHO. |

I've only begun watching MMA fights on pay per view with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) a few months ago. Happened to be in our local watering hole and they carry all the pay per views. I have to admit I never thought I'd care for MMA, but I enjoyed the events I've seen so far. I recognize only a few of the fighters, so those matches are more interesting to me. I haven't seen any of the network fights like the one last night. As PJ stated, I figured they would keep it too clean. The few highlights I saw of Slice on Sportscenter makes me believe he'd have little chance against the fighters in UFC- at least for now. I think a Slice/Lesnar matchup might be entertaining just because of the size and strength of the individuals, but from a technical standpoint these guys have a ways to go. |

Others will have more knowledge of the sport, but I believe the "wrestling" you see in the MMA is actually jujitsu- probably Brazillian jujitsu. I've seen segments of the Gracie family who teach it and many of the fighters seem to use a form if it. |
