OK, amid all the Favre retirement, ascension of Rodgers to the throne talk the factoid ROTTT has yet to sign FA number one has fallen through the cracks.
Unless I am mistaken...did we sign someone while I was sleeping? |

Apparently, GB signed some QB named Dalton, which must've been one of those late-night signings so as not to attract attention to their new secret weapon.
Pain don't hurt. |

You can't sign anyone until they're available.
Who's available and do we want them? Nothing happening is not always doing nothing. |

Jay Glazer is reporting the something will happen with Fitzgerald on Tuesday, possibly to the Eagles.

What about Joey Toledo? Was that a rumor?

The level of free agent activity by the Packers is about what I expected. The Packers have brought in a few mid-tiered free agents, but aren't offering more than what the Packers deem they are worth. It wouldn't surprise me if the Packers only sign one or two free agents.

I read that type of cancer has a 4% survival rate after 5 years. Sux.

Was there anyone anywhere who expected GB to join the FA frenzy in the first week or two? That would've been pretty surprising I think.
===============
Median survival from time of dx is right around 6 months. Sadly, if the initial tumor is NOT deemed resectable (which is the case 80%+) 5 yr survival is < 1%. Along with gallbladder CA it's about as grave as it gets. Swayze had some great roles - agreed Dalton in Roadhouse was among them. I'll hope/pray he has as good an outcome as possible...or at least a peaceful demise. That SNL "Chippendales" skit w/ the late Chris Farley was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. |
