I've been to Arrowhead and the stadium in Charlotte. I think it was Ericsson at the time. Arrowhead is a great venue. Very much like Lambeau with a college atmosphere and the seats are all pretty close to the field. And of course they tailgate like pros. In Charlotte, they have seats in the upper deck that feel like they are in a different ZIP code. It's a great facility otherwise but there are some bad seats.

I can't believe Soldier Field is not in there as one of the worst. It truly is. Maybe it's nice on the lower decks but the boxes and the upper level are so far and away from everything, it's like you're somewhere else. Plus the larger upper deck is facing Lake Michigan, with no protection. I went there for the first game and I really don't think I'd go back...unless of course, I had really really good seats.
I think I'm just not a fan of the upper deck. |

This moron says he's not a Packer fan, talks about "thousands" of people wearing cheeseheads, gets the origin of the name wrong, talks about spending "lots of time getting into and out of the place", and ranks it #5.

I thought the 'lots of time getting into and out of the place' was an odd statment also. Has he ever been there? Except for immediately after 9/11, I have never experienced this. |

I think while writing the article, he felt obligated to include Lambeau. He certainly doesnt think that highly of it. |

This guy must have went to Paul Brown stadium in Cincy when Pittsburgh was in town to have an experience that bad. I have been there twice and the fans could not have been nicer, very few drunks, and I found it real easy to get in and out.
I agree about Fedex field. Very corporate feeling and it is an absolute nightmare to get in and out of. A few years ago I went to a game the Sunday after Thanksgiving and it took me 4 hours to go the 15 miles home. |

I am often on the outskirt of town and going 60+ less than 20 minutes after the game, but I head west after Milwaukee games. I have had worse traffic backups coming out of highs school games.

The writer of the story loses all credibility when he refers to the origin of the team name as related to "cheese packers".

I went to my first game at the new Cardinal stadium last Sunday, it is a beautiful place. The air-conditioning is a real bonus in Phoenix in September. The only complaint I have is with the sound system, which is fine in some spots and terrible in other spots.
Beats the heck out of the old Sun Devil Stadium...I still have grill marks on my butt from sitting on the bleachers in 100+ degree weather. 117_1740_1.JPG (165 Kb, 25 downloads) New Stadium |

Looks like the roof to Texas Stadium. Tell me about the AC. Wanna talk hot? Try a Jaguar game at Alltell Stadium in September. Then imagine sitting next to a sweaty red-neck for 4 hours. I gotta think NASCAR is one smelly venue.
(Edit- The sweaty redneck is not Mrs. Blair Kiel. Shame on you for thinking that.) |

It sure is CPF; I dont know why Arizona State doesnt renovate that stadium, it could be a great place.
BK, it's real grass. The whole field is on a tray that rolls into the stadium; 6 days a week its out in the sunshine. The bleachers in that picture are temporary "VIP" seats that are taken down for the field move. The field was in as good a shape as any I have ever seen. |

Cool. Pun intended. What about the AC? Can they really cool it down in there with an open roof?

I'm sure the roof will stay closed as long as the weather needs a/c; the roof is made of some high tech fabric. We have a poll going on the first open roof game...October 16, Monday Night football against the Bears is the favorite right now. I personally was warm at the game, but it was a packed house and the outside temp was over 100 degrees with monsoon type humidity. I woulda been happier if they dropped the temp a few degrees. |

season
They recently re-did the roof [around the opening] of TX Stadium. Guess they want to attract a new renter, there in Irving. The new Stadium for the Cowboys, right here in my hometown of Arlington, will be ready for the Cowboys' 2009 season. |
