Jackson and Rosenfels will probably need months of therapy from the lack of love they are getting. This is just TOO MUCH DRAMA!

Favre announced publically he is staying retired, saying (post-surgery) he didn't think he could perform at 100% for an entire season. If he wants to come back and the Vikings want him after hearing Favre's self-doubt and being jilted, go for it! But expressing self-doubt and working out with high schoolers might not be a good way of preparing yourself for an entire season. But hey, it's Favre and the Vikings, anything is possible.

The worse shape he is in, the better I like it. It is a secret plot between Favre and the Packers to sink the Vikes before Favre signs his $20 million Packer retirement deal after squeezing 10 million guaranteed out of the Vikings in order to get a chance to throw a few more hail Mary interceptions before he fades into the sunset (unless he can convince the Lions to take him on next year and squeeze out yet ANOTHER $10,000,000 before returning for his Green Bay retirement payday.)

A Viking fan I work with said that he heard the Wilf's and Favre will be talking today. I just chuckled.

They're talking about it on GB sports talk radio, too, how the players seem to think it's happening. I agree, it will be hilarious either way it goes, and the longer it goes, the better I like it...

Here's a scenario I thought of this weekend.

Maybe it's so far out it sounds like a "Twilight Zone," but ...

-ARodg has a tremendous season. The 3-4 is a smashing success. The Pack
leads the division and only needs 1 more win to clinch.
-In the next game, ARodg suffers a terrible injury. He's replaced by
Flynn or Brohm, but it's apparent they are in over their heads.
-After the game TOG calls TT. He decides he loves Green Bay too much
to let them down, and realizes this is his chance to redeem himself
with his critics AND to get one last shot at another super bowl. TOG
and TT bury the hatchet, and the rest is history:

Yeah, that is way out there. What gives you even the most remote impression that Favre can get any team to the Super Bowl at this point?

Whatever they're paying Glazer to mess with the Vikings preseason, they don't pay him enough. I don't care if these reports are even true, more please!

Realize, regardless if he plays for the Vikes or not, he's managing to create drama and F up the chemistry of the Vikes during TC/pre-season much like he did with the Packers last year which likely will affect them the entire season. That alone is a gift to the rest of the NFC North.

Has a player ever managed to F up 3 teams in 2 seasons, 2 of which he technically hadn't played for that year?

but see the beauty of it is that

1. he's totally screwed with the Vikings and set up lots of
discontent on their team, and
2. he reconciles with the Pack and helps them reclaim the
Lombardi trophy.

I mean, it's a classic Hollywood movie.

Well, it's been about 3 weeks since he made his grand announcement of staying retired. Can't stay out of the media spotlight for too much longer

This article is just speculation, but I love the fact that it is fueled by the Viking QBs’ poor play.

Or, in the case of this article, it is the media that can’t let go.

I believe what RoyalWulff means is if Favre comes in, late in the season. Say around Thanksgiving. He did play very well for the first 11 weeks of the season last year. If he gets warmed up (in playing shape) into December, as long as the team he is on makes the playoffs, I'd say he has as good a shot at winning it all as anyone. Understand what I'm saying?

Favre knows he can't go the distance anymore.

Phil Simms once said, "If I was Favre I'd make them drag me off the field"

I believe this is exactly what Favre is doing. This is still speculation/prediction on Glazers part.

FUN TIMES!
