Any thoughts on what kind of stats Ryan Grant will put up this year? Along that thought, how much will Brandon Jackson factor into the running game?

I think Jackson will play a lot on third downs, kind of a Tony Fisher role. He's a better receiver than Grant. I still think Grant will get most of the rushing attempts. No reason why Grant can't rush for 1300 yards and 10-12 TDs, with Jackson rushing for around 400 yards while catching 35 passes for another 200 yards.

That said, with Grant going late-first, early second in drafts, I want him to be actually signed before spending that high of a pick on him. And I do think he'll struggle at times as defenses stack the box against the run and force Rodgers to beat them by throwing the ball.

Just bumping this up...I'm considering piking up BJAX in one of my leagues. DO you all thinik he is worth it? Do you think he will keep getting a decent amount of touches this season as Grant gets back to speed?

I'm asking since to get him, I would have to dump someone like Rudi Johnson, but I'm not sure if he'll start getting used more in Detroit or not.

THoughts?

Rudi holds virtually no value. Smith looks pretty decent in Detroit. Even if Rudi vultures the goal line TDs, how many opportunities will he actually get?

I think Lumpkin may actually get 3-5 more touches per week - I'd stay away from Brandon at this time.

If you have Grant on your FF team, you have to pick up Jackson if he's available. If Grant goes out for more than 1 game, Jackson will get the majority of the carries.

That said, I would definitely dump Rudi Johnson for Brandon Jackson.

Why would you need Jackson? If you have another viable RB who is actually a starter, not a part timer who will also split carries with the #3 RB if he is the starter, then that is your best #3 and #4 to bring in if you think that Grant is going to split time or go down.
