...The Bears.
They've owned the Pack even with TOG. They're better on defense. They're better on special teams. They're better on the ground. They seem to attract loose balls. Their qb is playing lights out. I hate to say it this early, but the Bears win the division, and the Pack misses the playoffs because the wild card teams come from the East. |

Orton is garbage. But I agree with everything else. Thank you. |

Knee jerk? We're a quarter of the way into the season. Watch the Bears play. They dominate the line. They have a special teams player who, frankly, makes opposing teams loose control and give them the ball at the 40 yd line consistently. (See our two losses last year) Their defense actually stops the run. Their offense actually has the run. Our offensive (yes, they are) line will rank in the bottom third this year. Hell, if Ryan Grant gains 900 yds this year, it'll be a victory.
If Arod is out, we have nothing but a lot of cap room to show for it. No backup. Our running game from last year is gone. I don't know why. Our secondary is average, with a couple of aging guys that need to be replaced in the coming years. TT has built this young team with several serviceable third-to-fifth round draft picks. We need impact players, and we don't have them. Mark it down. I hate to say it. The Bears win the North. The wild cards come from the East. |

Yes, knee jerk. After all that, the Packers still sit atop the standings in the NFC North. I agree that if Rodgers is out for any length of time then it won't look good, same with Jenkins on the D as well. I'm not going to declare the division over after 4 games or hand the division to the Bears quite yet, however...

Wanna know the worst part about getting over 4,000 wedgies in my lifetime? It's not the self esteem issues. After awhile, they started to call me Skid Mark - that was the worst. "Hey, Skiddy!" they used to say. Otherwise, I'm in favor of all things that relate to summer, movies, early Hungarian cabinet making and frozen cocktail wienies.

If you want to give up on the team after 1 game go for it
All I know is that I watched the Bears the week before get owned by the Bucs at home. That top notch defense gave up a ton of yardage in that game. They looked good against Philly but they were without their best player (Westbrook) and Chicago was in a must win situation. There's a lot of football to be played yet people. A lot can change from week to week and today was the perfect example, i.e. Dallas getting beat, KC winning against Denver, etc. |

Bears had a good game today. But that NFC east looks rediculous. I don't think the Packers, right now, could beat anyone in that division.

No, it's after four games. A Quarter of the season. As I said, on both side so the ball we are basically average. |

We were also without our #1 WR. (I know Lloyd isn't great, but he is OUR #1.) Our #1 CB and #1 DT. Granted we lost our CB and WR during the game, but nonetheless. ...Our D still has a lot to prove-as well as our O. |

GB had far more injury issues yesterday than Chicago did and they were playing in Tampa and despite the ugliness the Packers were a lot more competitive IMO than the Bears against the same opponent.
For all the miscues GB was in a pretty decent position to win the game. If you want to say that about Chicago last week go ahead, but that was a completely different team that played last night versus the one that played the Bucs. Just like that was a different Packers team against Minnesota compared to Tampa. Either way we'll see how the rest of the year does. Personally, I think the NFC North is pretty average so a team could win 8-9 games and win the division so I am not going to completely write off the Packers or the Bears for that matter but the reality is right now I don't think either team is in great shape. |

- Agreed. The Packers have already beat the Vikings ... so IMO whoever can possibly sweep each other between the Packers and the Bears will have a huge advantage to get the NFC North bid. The Bears games this year will mean more than they have for a long time in kickingthe loser in the groin and out of the playoffs! |

Is the minimum number of games the Pack needs to win the division 4 or 5? Assuming all NFC North teams lose all remaining non-division games, and all division teams split with their division rivals, except Pack beats Chicago or Minn twice, I think we can do it with 4 wins because that would give us the best division record.

Settle down everyone. The Packers were not as good as everyone thought after week 2 and they are not as bad as everyone thinks in week 4.

The problem is showing up ONLY when the Packers lose then post ONLY negativity. That act is old & lame. Hell even kworst doesn't do that anymore & he's about the only guy I'd allow it from. Be a part of the community. Have a BALANCED take. When you post only negative (or only positive) responses, that's not being balanced. It's ok to act like a real person behind that keyboard and monitor. Try it & you'll be surprised at the world that opens up for you. |

Absolutely, If the Packers hold serve at home and lose to the Vikes, Bears, Jaguars and Titans on the road and can beat the Lions, Seahawks, and Saints on the road we finish 10-6. Very doable. Everyone take a breath. We are talking about a Bears team whose big wins came against a Colts team without 2/5 of their line and a beat up Manning who had no training camp and a win at home against an Eagles team without Westbrook and for periods without Burkhalter, as well as McNabb coming off an injured leg and a TD stand that really should have been reviewed because the ball crossed the plain. The Packers have only beaten a 1-3 team and an 0-4 team, both of whom swept the Bears last year, but only lost to Dallas and a Tampa team trying to win for a grieving father. We do not really know these teams yet. I know Neck Beard does not scare me nor do his receivers. |

The Packers are still the leaders in the NFC North. How positively dreadful.
