They cannot win against a team that has a solid defense and in turn their defense cannot hang if they actually have to stay on the field. The Giants will pound them next week.

G-men aren't quite what were billed to be either, but they're not as soft as the Lions, and their pass rush should cause problems.

I've been all over Detroit's case because they have a tendency to give up a lot of points defensively and that OL is an absolute sieve.
Don't be surprised if Detroit ends up around .500 and misses the playoffs this year. They have to play GB twice, Dallas and the NYG at home, and then games at SD and at MN could be tricky. |

I'm looking at their schedule and trying to see were they may pull out three games, which might get them into the playoffs. KC could be a win. I'll give them one game with the Packers and possibly Minny. None are a sure bet either. KC has a solid D-line which will cause problems just like the Giants will. Their run game, while better than the Packers, is nothing to write home about.
No way their defense keeps them in games. They have a decent D-line but most of the time they're teeing off if the Lions get a decent lead. No way they hang in a tight game. Still, I think they may make it to 9-7. |

They would be 3-5 in the 2nd half if they did- which is a reasonable expectation. They just aren't that good a team, and the pundits proclaiming them as a threat in the NFC North should have their credentials revoked. Anyone who has seen the Lions play this year knows that they are a .500-ish team because in the end, you need D to be able to win on the road. At least those in this thread knew it... |

DET (now @ 6-3) will have to work some to get those 10 W's for Kitna.
11 Nov 18 NYG @ DET 12 Nov 22 GB @ DET 13 Dec 02 DET @ MIN - L - MIN wins this game if AP is healthy 14 Dec 09 DAL @ DET 15 Dec 16 DET @ SD - L - No way DET goes to SDG and gets a W 16 Dec 23 KC @ DET 17 Dec 30 DET @ GB - L - In the cold, on the grass, against the best in the NFC None of their home games, where they play better, will they be clear favorites. |

Yeah, that Giants/Lions game sunday should be interesting. The Lions are at home, but the Giants are a better team overall.

I don't think the Giants are muvh better, if at all, than DET. I really think these two teams are fairly even and this game will decide who is the higher WC seed.
